Msg sent to President Obama at http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

Congratulations, and Gods speed!

Thank you for delivering such an inspiring and uplifting inauguration speech, and thank you for reminding the nation that each of us play a vital role in both the economic recovery efforts and towards attaining energy independence.

Sincerely,

More reasons why we need clean wind energy ASAP. You can use them as talking points in your letters. To view all of them just click to bring the Canary back to life!

In 2008 alone we've (Solar Roadways):

Met with Congressman Bill Sali in D.C.
He offered to earmark (making us pork barrel) our project on a bill in January (09). He wasn't re-elected.

Met with Senator Mike Crapo in D.C.
May be helpful - was very interested and enthusiastic about our project.

Met with Governor "Butch" Otter in Cd'A
Shared that the price of petroleum-based liquid asphalt has risen from $175/ton last December to over $1000/ton in July. All governors share the same problem: we can't afford to build roads out of asphalt anymore.

Met with the mayor of Sandpoint
She is going to place us in touch with some of Clinton's former advisers.

Presented the Solar Roadways to the mayors of Spokane and Liberty Lake
They are planning to place us in touch with Washington politicians.

Currently arranging meetings with:
Senator Shawn Keough
Representative Eric Anderson
Representative George Eskridge

All of these people have been friendly and open to our ideas. Many of them have been very enthusiastic. They just don't seem to know where to go with it.

We're currently working with Booz Allen Hamilton Corporation (building scaled down models for their Future Transportation Lab), Penn State University's Materials Research Institute, the University of Dayton's Research Institute, and the University of Idaho's Transportation engineering staff.

We can make a huge difference if we can only get the funding to continue. How do we actually get in touch with the T. Boone Pickens?

Dear Members,

Tooday I sent our second request for a Wind Energy Awareness Month Proclamation to Governor Otter's office, this time requesting the month of November to be proclaimed. Maybe Governor Otter will finally decide to issue the proclamation and we can all get behind promoting it. Time will tell. I'll keep you all posted.

Keep it green! Jeri
