Friends,

Urge your Member of Congress to sign the Pickens Plan Pledge today! We are in the final days of the Presidential election and a new Presidential Administration will be in place in January 2009. T. Boone Pickens and his nationwide army of supporters are calling for an Energy Independence Plan to be enacted within the first 100 days of the new Administration.

We are calling on you to:

1) Sign up online in support of the Pickens Plan to demonstrate the importance of this issue to voters! Email your friends and get the word out. We need to get 1 million members signed up ASAP!

2) Ask your Member of Congress and other elected officials in your area to sign this pledge.

Hi All, The Northern Quest Casino just west of Spokane is remodeling and will be adding solar panels to it's exterior! Now I only hope they put in wind generators so they can move off the grid.

Take that Avista!!! Too bad the all the State Tribes don't follow the lead and generate wind, solar power and possibly geothermal generators on their reservation lands they were forced to accept and put the existing power companies out of business. Just due for people who were cheated many years ago. Richard Wickberg, Corporal, "A" Troop 3/5 Cavalry

We just handed out Picken's plans cards ar Spokan's "Pig out at the Park". Nothing but sore feet and backs but when we do this again we need to have a designated foot "doc' equiped with mole skin for blisters, tincture of benzine, bandages, asperin and ibuproprine. Everyome needs a change of socks and well fitted, broken in hiking or walking shoes. Ask me for details please.

One week of one mile walks is sufficent to get in shape for an outing like this CONSIDERING your shoes are broken in properly!

If anyone wishes more info, please feel free to contact me as I have extensive wilitary marching experience and have hiked and climbed extensively in the North and Central Cascades and the Olympic Mountains without sustaining blisters or foot problems other than sore feet. (I was much younger then). However I have dressed a fair number of silver dollar sized blisters and have many horror stories of inexperienced hikers in over their heads! Richard U.S. Army 1972-75

H. I am new to this so I hope my message gets across OK. I wrote a lot on the national site so hope you can find that and read my comments. My name is Bruce D. Brovold, from Fargo. I am a disabled Vet. and I live on teh 22 floor in a high ride in downtown Fargo. From up here, I can surly see the wind clouds swirling into Fargo. i have lived here when the wind reached 67 MPH. My windows were closed yet my wind chimes still chimed and I had whitecaps on the water in my toilet. Ha ha. just a little humor. But think of the energy that wind produces. The United States has flat plains from Canada to Texas in the center of this great country. This is where the winds blow day and night and when we can harness this wind we will have a never ending source of energy. I have lived in Fargo for 60 years now and I have experienced the mighty power of wind, through tornadoes, with winds of almost 300MPH and also blizzards. Wind alone can cool you off if your hot and also make you feel colder if your cold. So reasonably, it can create energy to make air conditioners and furnaces. I have an Idea when building these wind power towers. Let us build monorails under teh fan blades, we coud doubble the use of thsi project by both energy and having mas transit from Texas to North Dakota. Did I mention the wind would power teh monorail? Well thats my idea and I'm sticking to it. Free air to make enengy and free air to power mass transportation. But we have to keep the government from taxing us to teh hilt on this free use of wind, biven to us by teh will of God himself.. Amen.

I live in Omaha - I support this plan - the most exciting and innovative way to put land to use and change our energy dependence! It will be an awesome and beautiful sight. A serene use of nature.
