Would you be willing to tell your representatives that you support natural gas fuel and want them to take action NOW? All you have to do is click above and fill you some very basic info then hit send.. Really, that's it. Under 5 minutes. We need to make our voices heard and this is a very simple yet effective way to do it. Thanks..

Corn is really not a viable option, I think we have already established that will not be any sort of focal point to our need to become independent.

Today I am in Texas and shared a table with a guy from Halliburton who told me about Natural Gas projects that have been in the works for a great deal of time here in the Lone Star State.

This is not an Obama Overnight Decision or plan.

This is something that has been occuring for a very long time and we need to accept that our lives are changing.

Even if area transit and other local use transportation systems can utilize CNG we will be moving in the right direction.

It's unfortunate we took so long to move forward but here we are at the crossroads and it's no time to be fearful.

What about drilling for our own oil? This is a national security issue plain and simple. We can not be dependent on foreign oil with the uncertainties in the middle east and south America.

We have the resources, and the amount of oil on federal land will provide a revenue strea to pay off the hole Obamais putting us in. The other benefi is a far more stable price.

There is not enough corn in the USA to run our trucks and trains at the same low cost ofoil products, and there are less BTUs in bio than oil, which means you needmore of it to go the same distance.

CNG is only a local use product, and I don't want to siton 350 gallons of a potintial bomb!

Having managed freight shipping (trailerload contract carriers, LTL common carriers, UPS, and intermodal truck-rail-ocean) for a manufacturer, I have experienced the impact of imported oil prices on our economy.

Freight transportation is the bloodstream of our economy, moving raw materials and products to where they are needed. Without a self-contained, sustainable fuel supply, we are bleeding our wealth, like a punctured artery, every day we convert imported oil into diesel fuel. Price spikes add cost to everything that everyone buys, and have put too many truckers in debt, or out of business.

The volume of foreign oil used for freight transportation must surpass every other category combined. We need to make truck fuel a priority, whether investing in home-grown biodiesel, or new CNG technology and infrastructure.

Most vehicles can be used with CNG, but is it the best option? You need to look at all of the options, the cost of conversion, the fueling options (there is even at a home fuel station), the amount of driving you do to justify all of the additional costs, and the cost of CNG in your area.

The other problem is the current government (Obama and the other socialists in the house and senate) is trying to pass cap and trade, so until this farce is defeated I would not do anything until the public demands this farce to be defeated. The reason I state this is because it leaves the entire energy market in limbo, and no one knows what the result will be as to the actual cost of energy will be until it passes. Right now CNG would benefit, but leave it to this house and congress to find a way to tax it also.

Absolutely right, build out locally. Some uses would be buses, taxi's, local delivery trucks, municipal and corporate service fleets, road to rail distribution as well as retail distribution from central distribution centers. The possibilities go on and on...

what are you going to use the trucks for?

Long haul is not a viable option currently, and if you read my posts you would not want to. Local use is the only viable option, but fueling options must be examined in your area.

maybe some one here can help me. im looking for information on class 8 trucks that run on natural gas.the pros and the cons. any help will be greatly appreciated.
