The sky is falling! Our oceans are shrinking! The earth is on fire! Oil is too expensive! Oh whoa are we! Why do you think these things are happening and at the forefront of our concerns? This is your wake up call ...welcome to the NEW millineum!
Since when does complaining about anything get any one of us anywhere if we're not committed to ACTION? Complain all you want, but until and unless you become involved in our energy issues ...not much WILL change!
Most of us are at an age, where we're wondering what did happen to the clear, cool water streams we used to wade and swim in on hot summer days! What happened to our energy resources and why is everyone in an uproar over wind generated electricity? What happened to the fuel resources that support our transportation, cooking, manufacturing and hard working farmers that grow our fruits, vegetables and grain supplies? What happened to the clean air that we breath?
Have times changed ...or what? Think about the world our children and grandchildren will know as "Normal" ... energy, fuel and water and air wise!
It's safe to say that we MUST find safe, cost effective and environment friendly ways to create and save our energy, fuel and water resources. Does anyone remember the 1920's and 30's? Back then farmers used wind energy effectively to power their lights and electric motors. Then along came the 1970's energy crisis and our government began subsidizing construction of utility lines and fossil fuel power plants.
Now we have a different and much larger energy crisis! We have oil resources that have remained untapped, polluted and contaminated water resources, food resources that have been contaminated, pesticides that have effected our soils, fuel that generates our electricity with costs that have soared sky high and fumes and emissions that are polluting our air ...not to mention those that worry about the excrement of cows and it's effect on the air we breath!
We have government officials that are voting and passing bills to clean up our environment and make it safe, but then back up on those promises when something innovative and costs effective shows up in their back yards or on a visible island near where they live! What about "Acid" rain fueled by carbon emissions from transportation and other sources? We have government officials screaming about our environment and yet, they're the first to charter a plan that emits fuel carbons that muddy up the air we breath! We have people screaming ..." No, DON'T drill for oil it might hurt our natural environment" ...it might ruin our natural parks and harm the wildlife!" Why aren't they screaming about those things that are necessary for the survival of human life?
We're all for saving our natural resources, parks and animal life, but what about us? Isn't "Human" life important too? Isn't it time we all took the time to get involved in the world and it's issues we all have to live with? Isn't it time to take a "Survival" attitude for us all? We think so and so should everyone! There's little value in complaining about high costs of fuel, energy, bottled water and transportation emission systems if we don't combine our efforts and MAKE things change!
Together we're stronger than just the power of one. Together we can create a better world for everyone to live in. Before anyone complains about or ignores these issues, they should take the time to get involved and learn about those new ways we can effectively generate energies like electricity, water, fuel and clean air!
Stop complaining and get on board folks, this is your world too! Get involved now and help change the state of our energy crisis issues. This doesn't take all day, it's not a full time commute ...it's only time to make MORE time for us all ...here on planet earth!

We all need to thank Mr. Pickens for explaining the energy problem that we as a nation face. Earlier it was one Group (users) pointing fingers at the other Group (suppliers) and vice versa. The problem is real. It was magnified to some extent, in recent times, by speculators. But, the truth is we are importing more oil every year and producing less. We are sending billions of dollars overseas.
I like Mr. Pickens Plan but I think it needs to be supplemented by other plans like other wind energy plans, solar energy , hydro, tidal, etc. It by itself will not get us to Energy Independence beacuse one solution is not the optimum solution for the whole country. Mr. Pickens Plan will buy us more time. For this reason I have posted a petition for Energy Independence. It is based on wind energy as presently wind energy is the most cost-effective of all reneweable energy alternatives
