BG Consulting Group Why "COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE" is needed?

The Wanted Scientists Group on PickensPlan was created on the premise that the most effective way to solve the energy problems is to promote broad and rapid knowledge transfer collectively between scientists. This "collective intelligence" stretches the boundaries of current visions where innovation is the primary goal.

Collective intelligence is a scientific term used to describe a new form of intelligence that emerges when many individuals simultaneously collaborates and competes to solve problems. Today, the PickensPlan site provides an exciting framework for anyone to reach out to experts from around the world to solve our "Energy Situation". Organizations such as MIT, Wikimedia Foundation, DaimlerChrysler, IBM, Boeing, Hilton, American Express and BG Cosulting Group are harnessing collective intelligence to stimulate groundbreaking ideas. MindPower is a terrible thing to waste just like wind or sun Energy. .ALSO CHECK OUT OUR OTHER GROUPS > WANTED PATENTS, PROTOTYPES, IDEAS AT: www./push.pickensplan.com/group/wantedpatentsprototypesnewproductsinventions OR OUR GREEN JOBS GROUP -> GREEN JOBS NOW! I went to the site:http://www.pacwind.net/products.html
very interesting.
Mercedes Co. just installed something like tis in London. Here is a great site also:http://ecotality.com/life/category/green-building/

To Jeff Smoley,
Hybrid car may be the future, but go to this site:
http://sites.google.com/a/mesapowerpampa.com/energy/ then watch the video below. Let me know what you think of the possibility to develop a no gas, no battery car - only magnet.

The ocean and even rivers are perfect for HYROLIENNE. Have a look to the latest installations in Europe (couple of weeks ago only). Sorry the video is in French. If you need a translation or want me to put you in contact with them, let me know.

Hello,Hybrid vehicles are a great way to ultimatly wean our oil appetite. No need to wait for expensive assembly line hybrid cars.Convert your present vehicle . Simple systems exist right now that deliver , on demand Hydrogen,to any engine.I have built and installed such a unit in my 2003 Chevy Blazer.MPG went from 17 to 24.Millions of motorist would emmediatly impact our dependency on pump gasoline. Here is an answer to your storage of electicity question.
I agree with you when you said: THERE ARE TECHNOLOGIES AVAILABLE FOR LARGE SCALE ENERGY STORAGE TODAY AND I'M SURE THAT WITH ALL THE SMART PEOPLE IN THE USA THERE ARE MANY MORE YET TO BE DISCOVERED.
My husband once worked in Japan at the Matsushita Electric Research Center in Fukuoka.Have a look at this link.

Most efficient vehicle will be a hybrid. Why? Because it takes too long to recharge a battery. Today you go to a gas station and in a few minutes are back on the road. What would you do if you had to sit there for 4 or 5 hours?
Best bet is a small diesel running a generator to keep up your charge, with solar voltaic built into the top face parts of the car. Thin films might be best. This engine could be run on bio-diesel or nat. gas/propane, best would be dual fuel.
There is also my idea for an external combustion engine, using a Wankel type engine, thin tube "steam" generation (like an instant hot water heater), heat recovery and uses a silicone based fluid that has similar vapor pressure to water, but a lower boiling point.
This could run on nat. gas, propane, diesel, kerosene, alcohol etc. Calculations done in the early 1970s say we could get about 80 MPG. Shrink this down so that it runs an electric generator, and you might have a good engine for a hybrid and more MPG.
I also though about a Wankel diesel. I actually saw one that was for a model airplane, in Germany in the 1970s. Great power to weight ratio.

We have to look at the ocean for a source of electrical energy. The ocean surf is a 24 hour a day source of a form of SOLAR energy. One way to utilize this energy is by electrolysis, to convert the sea water to hydrogen and oxygen which can be piped to shore and used to power turbine generators which would provide the electrical power and clean water in which there is a shortage of both in some areas.
http://www.dam-atoll.com
Check out our web page. During the late 70's while working at the Lockheed CA CO we invented a ocean wave power generator and built and tested a 100th scale model and patented it. The company later dropped the patent so its public domain now. I have saved some tapes and films of the model tests and had them made into a DVD. We also have the web page with added data and clips from the DVD.

Dam-Atoll functions as an artificial atoll, bending incoming waves and focusing their energy as they spiral into the center. Vanes at the center guide the incoming spiraling waves and directs the resulting vortex into a shaft. The whirling water in the vortex transfers its energy to a mechanical component, a shaft-mounted turbine, which then runs a generator to create electrical energy. The shaft-mounted turbine is the only moving part in this beautifully and elegantly simple design

ENERGY STORAGE WITH WIND IS THE KEY!!

WIND ENERGY WITHOUT A PLACE TO GO, OR A LOAD TO SERVE, IS QUITE FRANKLY -- WASTED ENERGY.

THE UTILITY COMPANIES TODAY GENERATE QUITE A BIT OF ENERGY THAT IS NOT USED -- BUT IS AVAILABLE FOR PEAK POWER SPIKES/DEMANDS THAT CONSTANTLY GO OFF AND ON BY ALL OF US USERS.

WIND BY ITSELF IS LIKE A GLASS HALF EMPTY! WIND WITH ENERGY STORAGE IS LIKE A DOUBLE BARREL SHOT IN THE ARM! IF WE COULD STORE THE ENERGY CREATED BY WIND AND OTHER ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES AND LET THE UTILITIES USE THAT ENERGY TO FEED PEAK DEMAND LOADS -- WOW!

THERE ARE TECHNOLOGIES AVAILABLE FOR LARGE SCALE ENERGY STORAGE TODAY AND I'M SURE THAT WITH ALL THE SMART PEOPLE IN THE USA THERE ARE MANY MORE YET TO BE DISCOVERED.
