BG Consulting Group Why "COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE" is needed?

The Wanted Scientists Group on PickensPlan was created on the premise that the most effective way to solve the energy problems is to promote broad and rapid knowledge transfer collectively between scientists. This "collective intelligence" stretches the boundaries of current visions where innovation is the primary goal.

Collective intelligence is a scientific term used to describe a new form of intelligence that emerges when many individuals simultaneously collaborates and competes to solve problems. Today, the PickensPlan site provides an exciting framework for anyone to reach out to experts from around the world to solve our "Energy Situation". Organizations such as MIT, Wikimedia Foundation, DaimlerChrysler, IBM, Boeing, Hilton, American Express and BG Cosulting Group are harnessing collective intelligence to stimulate groundbreaking ideas. MindPower is a terrible thing to waste just like wind or sun Energy. .ALSO CHECK OUT OUR OTHER GROUPS > WANTED PATENTS, PROTOTYPES, IDEAS AT: www./push.pickensplan.com/group/wantedpatentsprototypesnewproductsinventions OR OUR GREEN JOBS GROUP -> GREEN JOBS NOW! Eric, I was thinking about Amonix new 57 kW Concentrated Photovoltaics system. I need 5 to 7 acres of land to place 1 MW of CPV system. Even smaller area if I use Sunrgi solar system. I know a lot of places in small towns where there are lots that could used to site a solar system of 1 MW. Just think, we could have a whole new industry built around the idea of BUILDAMERICABUILD. If we only had the will power to enact feed-in tariffs. It a shame that most of stem cell treatment centers are off shore. China will outstrip us in wind installed turbines this year, and other countries are moving forward because they have adopted FIT's to employ their people. If don’t enact Feed-in Tariffs in this country, our wind and solar industries will also move offshore.

But we have this tired policy of tax credit and breaks that leaves us in debt, destroys our schools, leaving our roads and bridges in disrepair and failing for our grandfathers and mothers a method of paying for their medicine. Gee!! What great policy.

I like the idea of willie nillie placement of solar systems in my backyard and allow our home and business earns $3,000 to $12,000 annually for generating solar power. I like the idea of willie nillie to allow solar power plants in vacate lots earning $100,000. I really want a willy-nilly policy that enhances the rural America who won’t be enslaved by Wall Street but work for themselves in new rebirth of America. So, ERIC, let make willie nillie our policy. Let reject the tired ideas of net metering and large wind/solar farm own by few and rich. Let distribute the generation willie nillie across the countryside so every man and women can earn a nickel or dime for his power. Let WILLY NILLY rain!!! across the face of America..

Then---c there is Watts Energy that stacks duct fan arrays on top of each other reaching into the sky to capture the higher altitude wind. Of course this means that will have to measure their site with tetroons or other wind measurement systems including SkyScat!! Wow more people to work and more working people earning a nickel and dime for their generation. I love distributed wealth and generation, it how you build America build.

Dear Eric

Nonsense. The European are build there society brick by brick with feed-in tariffs. So is China and Brazil. In fact 42 countries have enacted feed-in rate. In my backyard is large enought to have 1 MW machine, but then I live in the country. I think you ought to investigate this method verse the failed method of tax breaks which build more potholes in our street!
Eric Koch Comment by Eric Koch on May 18, 2009 at 7:24pm
i don't think a 1 MW machine would fit in most peoples yards Clyde....and shouldn't a site analysis be done?...i mean ya just don't wanna go throwing up 1 MWers willie nillie....it takes energy to produce and install,so there has to be a good energy return...EROEI..that's what we need to focus on, every one needs to do their homework, count their pennies, and talk to their neighbors.....most times a well sited municipal investment is most cost effective...but ya really gotta look at the best resources at hand, then think about the best way to harness and utilize that resource....whatever it is.
Clyde Childers Comment by Clyde Childers on May 18, 2009 at 5:58pm
I submit there are two action we need to take: One is have Congress pass a RSP bill that start down the road to energy independant and other in the states in enacting feed-in tariffs. Tax breaks don't built wealthy or put or people to work they put put potholes in your streets. . Would you like to earn $250,000 by selling wind energy into the grid or solar from your backyard by installing a 1 MW machine. You could you know see http://www.buildamericabuild.com

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Since the middle of last year I’ve been trying to convince our people of the advantages of the better usage of natural gas, which has proved to be a great help in the efforts of the Brazilians to become energy self-sufficient, which they are now.

For those who don’t know yet, Brazil is now the least indebted economy among the 37 largest economies of the world, thanks to the efforts they started in the 70’s with their Ethanol program and their massive usage of natural gas in any possible way, particularly in the transport of people and merchandise.

You can read more about it in my discussion Brazil is 100% oil independent. Why aren't we? And see some pictures about it in my pictures.

Even though the price of oil has lowered considerably in the last few months (thanks only to our financial crisis), I like to call your attention to a small business located in South Florida for a number of years that has already been silently providing alternative technology for the use of natural gas in diesel oil engines.

The company is owned by a friend of mine (he does not know I’m writing this). His name is Raul Llanos and the company is called Innotech Group and they have developed a conversion kit for Diesel Engines to use Natural Gas through a process he calls Fumigation.

According to his website - http://www.innotechgroup.com/technical.htm - Fumigation is the process of having the natural gas blended with the combustion air before entering the engine, which permits the usage of a simultaneous blend of 80% natural gas and 20% diesel oil, thus saving considerably both oil and money.

He has been very successful in retrofitting large engines for trucks, buses, locomotives and electricity generators which are saving many thousands of dollars for their owners and valuable resources not only in the US but also in several other countries, including Venezuela, Colombia and Pakistan.

He has retrofitted locomotive engines even in California, which has the toughest environmental laws in the US.

I encourage you to patronize his business because:
- It uses resources already abundantly available almost everywhere in the US,
- It saves a considerable amount of oil and money,
- It provides employment to our people anywhere a motor is retrofitted,
- It is a new technology developed in the Florida State.

I hope you’ll take the time to visit his website http://www.innotechgroup.com to learn more about this great little business.

Look at my pictures for some info about his company.

Thanks,

Getulio Bastos

Just in case there is any one out there that is thinking "that little SCR is not going to handle those burners"...i'll explain...the veloman receiver board is way to tweekie..even after tweeking the voltage reference, the relays didn't like it "oh...relays"...i needed something more decisive...so the photo transistor is now the front end of a darlington that will actuate the scr gate pulling the anode to ground and thus the unbiased transistor inverter...witch is intentionally unbiased to forward the offset of the separate emmiters to bias thier respective mosfet gates...so the scr is operating in DC ,and at the end of the cycle the power connector must be disconnected in order to facilitate the removal of the finished part thus resetting the scr for the next cycle.

hope you all get a good nights sleep tonite.

Ok....just got off the horn...turns out the bulk pricing was due to the manufacturer discontinuing the part.....but i got a crossreference coming in the mail soon.

so nevermind.
Eric Koch Comment by Eric Koch on March 17, 2009 at 8:58pm
that's it....i'm screwed....the "cathode resistor" is going to force a value swap domino effect through the whole circuit that is going to result in the driver board being out of its operating region.

help.
