I am very interested in setting up a natural gas fuel truckstop / filling station
and or electricity generating facility
on my property at the intersection of I 70 and I 77 in Ohio.
We have natural gas on site.
The freeways go all 4 directions across the United States.
I would like to do this in association with the Pickens plan.
Who do I talk to, where can I start?
Thanks,

William, the NG wells of Shon's are a high nitrogen content. Above 10% if I remember right. NG pipeline specs cannot use anything above 3%. While there are several methods to remove the nitrogen, they all cost more than it is worth to clean these gases. Nirtogen removal from NG.

Shon, if you have the space, you can and should do both. The sterling engine is an external combustion heat pump.
(The NG you have will create alot of Nx, Nitrous oxides and nitrogen oxide, which the EPA will at some point shut you down, or you might be fined/taxed like the cap and trade will do.)

We have 8% nitrogen, at the highest.
OK for transmission lines, too high for in town .

Hi James,
Anything that sounds too good to be true, usually is. My experience is that nothing every really gets funded in 35 days, especially at this amount.

But we can always think its true! :-) My project list is now starting to look at 100kW of solar installed in the next two years and from there moving into 1 MW over 5 years. But there are always potential problems. The grants available look good, good support overall, but also lots of technical issues (things like which panels to use long term, tracking systems, etc.) We have good experience in Europe, but many "US companies" actually do not produce in the states.
