WASTE MANAGEMENT AND INENTEC CREATE JOINT VENTURE TO DEVELOP AND OPERATE PLASMA GASIFICATION FACILITIES

Houston-based Waste Management and Bend, Ore.-based InEnTec have created S4 Energy Solutions Inc., a joint venture that will develop and operate plasma gasification facilities. The sites will use InEnTec’s Plasma Enhanced Melter (PEM) technology to create energy and fuels from medical, commercial and industrial waste.

“We see waste as a resource to be recovered, and this joint venture with the PEM system will help Waste Management’s commercial and industrial customers maximize high energy value waste streams to generate valuable renewable energy products based on their unique environmental and logistical considerations,” said Joe Vaillancourt, managing director at Waste Management, in a press release. “With InEnTec, Waste Management has found a partner with a promising technology as well as strong management, research and development capabilities to address the hurdles to implementing a new technology.”

Under the PEM process, according to the press release put out by the joint venture, “waste materials are fed into a closed chamber where they are superheated to temperatures of between 10,000 and 20,000 degrees Fahrenheit using an electricity-conducting gas called plasma.” The resulting synthetic gas can be converted to ethanol and diesel fuels, among other things.

Dee, I agree with you. Our government is obstructing good technologies. Its the lobbies they listen to, not the people who elected them. Dr. Curto wrote Senator Inhofe to get my work grants, but he is sold to the nuclear plant they plan to build here in Oklahoma. One plant vs 30 waste to energy plants. Where did open government go. The health care debate had 6 lobbiest to every politician. I feel it is time to start doing what needs to be done ourselves. And we need to hold them accountable. Vote out the good ole boys. Change them all out, put new blood in the game. The peopel should not fear their government, the government should fear the people.

Hi Taylor Zachory Crain. Please visit onlinenap.ning.com and look up the chris tidman blog 'Free Environmental Education'. Read it please. It is free. If you do not think that we have a problem, you are very much mistaken.

Waste is a tricky subject if waste is added to lack of waste such as coal and nuke products.

Mr. Crain, should you be old enough to be addressed like an adult. We do not 'kick people out' of forums. a moderator will ban you from the Picken's Plan forum if you can't communicate on an adult level. Period. No one is rearranging posts. We do not have that ability.Believe it or not other people post here besides yourself. If you have mental health issues I suggest you Google PsychCentral, they have many on line, peer support forums there that could help you. So let's quit with the nursery rhymes and get down to business. Karl, I'm with you. I planted a "Survival Garden" this year and spent the summer weeding, picking, canning and dehydrating. Took a two room apartment and gave up the house. I too was owned by three business'. I gave it up and went to college for a nursing degree. Much more profitable not to sign one's own pay checks. I'm disabled now living off, you guessed it, Social Security. It might be social but it's certainly not security to be at the bottom of the food chain. We have to pull together as Americans, help each other out, skinny down and double up. We shall survive. Mr.Tracy's technology could make us the richest country in the world and pull us out of this depression while saving the planet. I know James well, a more altruistic person you couldn't find. His inventions, which have been patented are very real as is James Tracy. I am honored to call him friend.

Hi Energy Savers,

We are all pinching pennies these days since we have all been energy wasters for a long time, and now we are being forced to go on a very stiff energy diet. I have had three businesses, and that is the best way to become thrifty, own a business.

We just have to do what we got to do. Some of us could see the recession coming decades ago. If you have a business, you sell what the market will pay. If I grossed $10,000 a month, I was lucky to keep $1,000 for myself and family. So, I lived off of $12,000 a year.

If the market is not willing to pay more, then you learn to live with less. We are talking about waste to energy. I get a ton of advertising in the daily newspaper and in the mailbox. I burn all that waste to create a warm fire.

I have just built a "Solar Survival Shelter" 8'x8'x8', with R-30 insulation, and an 8x8 window on the south side. I love the simple life, and I sell my skills.
I sold $200 worth of the world's best tasting apples last Saturday. I can't make a living selling apples, because the apples are all gone in thirty days.

Remember the Depression and the "New Deal"? I was born at the end of it, but it happens again and again, if we do not be thrity. Anyone who thinks they can live for more than $40,000 a year, never had a math course.

Energy is a good "Job Field". I was an oil technician in Alaska in the 60's, and energy is where the money is at.

Finally , a new one , PickensPlan (11)received 11 messages all but this went back to the same message ? Always makes me suspicious , censorship or a glitch in the software ? Or we are on to something others rather us not be .
Checked another new one .
I wrote a piece for you also, maybe you should read my blog and use that head of yours for something besides infiltrating Mr. Pickens place for your own political preference.
What is going on , any ideas ? Who's political preference ? Will look for your blog .

Here is some real poetry for ya. I wrote it, hope you like it.

The world is without rhyme or reason,
While our leaders dance with treason,
The poor pay the price,
For the kings to live in and prance in vice,
While our warriors fight and sacrifice,
To pay for oils energy price,
When the power of the people is equal,
to their anger of the repeating sequel.
It is time for US to find the ways,
Before it is the end of days.

Mr. Crain you are obviously new to this forum and understand not how the posting works. We are here for positive energy, not childish nit picking. Dee, you are so very right but we the people have found our voice and WE do have a say. Majority rules. If we dislike our representatives actions in DC we will vote them out. It's no longer a threat, it's a promise thanks to groups like Moveon.org, Pickens Plan and Facebook. Americans have come together under no political party but about the real issues. We will overcome.
