Boone Pickens has actually given a partial answer to this dilemma by pointing out that the major oil companies already own/produce most of the natural gas that is available to us. To them, profit is profit regardless of whether they make it off oil or make it off natural gas. Sure, they will probably drag their feet on the issue, but that is why campaigns such as this one are needed.

Besides, if we are successful in our attempts to promote natural gas fueled vehicles, the oil companies will quickly move to meet the new demands of their customers.; ▶ Reply to This
