Max,

LM Glasfiber just located a facility in Little Rock, AR. I believe that make blades, not just the turbines. You might want to consider them. They are not US owned but do have a US presence.

I have been invested in "GE" for some time. They are the biggest producer of wind turnbines in the U.S.. I believe if you want to invest you should keep your money here in the U.S.
For long term "GE" is looking good. GE is a well diversified company....everything from aerospace to light bulbs. Currently GE is under valued. If you look at their chart you will see this.
A new ETF is sold under the ticker "FAN". It is brand new and after its initial posting in June it should take hold and grow accordingly. Don't let the current market conditions keep you from looking at these investment venue's. Good Luck!

TPI composites makes blades. They were yacht builder that went into joint venture with Mitsubishi called Vientek in Juarez, Mexico just across the border from El Paso, TX. They are opening a new facility in Iowa to produce GE blades. Their office is in Scotsdale, AZ and Rhode Island.

Before you decide to invest in public companies, consider the Pickens/Buffett model - private control produces better results. The problem for people without billions is how to invest without the wall street overhead & corruption.
Perhaps someone in this forum could help us work with a different model, where small investors could more directly support small greeen businesses run by honest, responsible people who were not involved in the current collapse.

Mark,

Please review my PP page as well as my website www.SDWE.org Within the PP and website, I outline a project to develope wind turbines and towers and blades.

Please review the concept, to see if there is merit to such a large scale project.

Many of the Pickens Plan people have offered to assist in such a project, getting close to enough in various aspects to put together a REAL PLAN.

Thank You,

Monty and Debbie

Here's a link for resources related to geothermal energy companies. There may be a few investing opportunities there.

MAx- Take a look at the post that was just placed on the VAWT - there is a link to a tory and a link to an overview of the turbines. See if you have interest to visit with Adam Fuller at Majectic Trubines in Wisconsin.
