New patent pending VAWT - next generation wind turbine seeks manufacturing fund and wind farm sites

Adam Fuller has a patent pending VAWT/Vertical Axis Wind Turbine. He has built several protype models and seeks a funding partner to go into manufacturing production for use on wind farms and other applications. Adam is in Wisconsin.

I am intrigued by his prototype- lets see how it progresses through performance testing.

Hey Bonnie,

I gotta wink first, and then toss back and say to you: "Never say NEVER." -- please... I've been listening, and I suppose that a prudent investor would consider your advise as a sound mantra. But there are aggressive investors, that do and should invest $$$ in early stage concepts.

--------

Let me ask you a few questions... (please)

We both acknowledge the small to zero value of design patents for machinery... Yet I've never met an investor that didn't ask about them and use the answer as another arrow in his quiver...

Actually, I'll stop now. My brain went into meltdown. I thing there are far too many obstacles to understanding (read that as 'agreement') between the species 'conservative investor' and 'entrepreneur/inventor'. It's a pity that the two keep overlapping their respective territories, e.g.hawks & badgers, to borrow a biological analogy.

See you on the mall!

I'm here to bring a little life to the discussions.

Pardon me, but, why are you here? Nuthin' but negativity... Private profile... And in the past you've bit the head off of folks that've tried to befriend you or answer questions.

Your interest is apparently to 'play the market' to use the old fashioned term, and based on observations I'd say you're good at it. But there is more to investing than NYSE, NASD, etc...

Apparently you have some hostility towards entrepreneurs. I dunno why. Sure 99.9% of them have no clue how to bring their product to market.

This forum is pretty open about ideas. If your desire is simply to find market insights, the stick with seekingalpha.com and banter with the rest of the marker driven folks. If you're only here to gather info to help you tune your positions, then you could just lurk quietly.

BTW I only chimed back in because the 'panhandlers' joke was funny, I don't think J appreciated it.

P.S. I "Apollo-Jize" [sic] for the typo on "advise | advice" in my previous post. (sorry folks)

The Light is Green!

Bonnie,

I was solicited for an even worse 'proposal' from the folks at http://www.redjv.com/ I use the term cautiously... They plan to build a 600 ft diameter vertical monstrosity.

I was laughing, but it was sad. There are 500 bogus, useless, incomprehensible ideas for every one valid solution. I have to give props to this one for actually building a model, but ultimately take them away for not understanding *scaling* in fluid dynamic systems.

VAWT technology has been improving and has merit in certain environments and applications. There are many applications that are good for VAWT. Many engineers support VAWT. Adam Fullers VAWT- may or may not be for your investment portfolio- but I do not think Adam Fuller is not a "PANHANDLER"- he has worked to develop a wind turbine HE believes is highly efficient.

Just because he is in very early stage in development doesn't mean it is "bad"...most new technology has a beginning. The validation of Adam Fullers VAWT is in the output or efficiency. Until it has been fully field tested and third party test results as to whether it meets his projected output- then it is still "early stage development" until proven one way or the other.

Patent Pending is not the reason to invest in anything--- but it does mean work and effort has been put forth in belief that it should be protected under patent recourse. Think of the the number of new technologies that began with someone saying--"oh--- that won't work".......I support the development process of technology solutions----some work some wont- the market will determine--- those that do-- but don't squash the process.

Don't get me wrong. It will work and certainly generate power. However. How about a cash flow or even break-even analysis. Still looks like way too much material and still looks like it could get damaged easily.

J;
I have a great site to put up about as many as you want. Good wind etc. Let me know.
