We want to Invest in the Pickens Plan

This is a group for people who are interesting in investing in the Pickens Plan both financially and globally. I am not sure how exactly to go about investing so I created this group to discuss what action we need to take to accomplish this.

Actually, I believe Obama has already choked America, just by pushing a Socialist agenda.

Dow was up ~150 today, but, as they say, even a dead cat will bounce if dropped from a sufficient height.

The S&P is back above 700... Even though I loathe the numerology issue...

hey dick, why don't you learn a little about business first

obama is going to choke America with his cap and trade/his taxes and spending, etc. you can't raise taxes in a recession

There is a difference-- Bush VS. Obama SPENDING - to SURGE the US & WORLD economy... Bush SPENT to help fund BIG WALL STREET GREEDY & BIG CORPORATIONS-- Obama claims to spend to fund small business and working folks,, - so they are not TWIN PROGRAMS... Dollars have to flow in an economy !!!

Sorry to follow the LAST COMMENT by TheEArthisNotFlat-- I am also very UNIQUE !!! Where is our TEAM WORK ?? We do have POSITIVE answers. !!

TODAY...The nation's most important leaders in energy reform are gathering with T. Boone Pickens at the National Clean Energy Project Summit to tackle the critical issues of ushering in a new era of renewable energy and ending our dependence on foreign oil. This event will feature a lot of people who know what they are talking about when it comes to energy policy - including John Podesta from the Center for American Progress Action Fund, U.S. Senator Harry Reid, President Bill Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Climate Czar Carol Browner, Owens-Corning CEO Michael Thaman, American Electric Power President & CEO Mike Morris, Sierra Club Executive Director Carl Pope, American Wind Energy Association CEO Denise Bode, Riverkeeper Alliance Chief Prosecuting Attorney Robert Kennedy, Jr. and many others.

Seems some are frustrated. Maybe the investors should clarify exactly what they are looking for in an investment. It takes feedback and dialogue to see what people want in either an Investment or Investor. Months ago I read that the Pickens Plan was created for a few reasons. The main one was to announce T.Boone was spearheading a 2 billion dollar fund to be developed over the next 2 years that would invest in wind and cng to lead the investment community in an attempt to change habits to include green business that helps us get off foreign oil. The other is to create pressure on Washington to adopt laws and regulations that will favor this change. This group has been a catch all from Investors to startups to speaculator and so on. Each has interesting views and if you are not getting what you need from the group why not post exactly what you are looking for and let others seek what they look for and let those who help do so. If you want to actually Invest in the Pickens Plan. Join or lead a group in your area that can apply pressure to the elected officials. Capitalizing the money part of the fund and seeing a return will be a while yet. Till then T.Boone has given some direction as to what should be invested in but he never gave fenced in directive as to what only to invest in. Post on and fear not those who may think in a box. No one said it would be easy. Go back to the roots. State what you want, Allow those to state what they want. We all have one thing in common we want to Invest in the Pickens Plan. That is a broad subject. If it is to broad could we create sub groups to define differences. An example might be a group for people looking only for day trading advice another could be more geared to the Buffet approach of long term and one could be for startups etc. Just an Idea.

Hay group. May I suggest that the answer or part of the answer to all of the problems I have been seeing in PP discussions amounts to a lack of a moderator to control the direction. This includes the direction and priorities of discussions as well as efforts in developing green ideas (see my germinate ideas group). There is nothing wrong with pointing out negatives as long as it is done to improve the discussion. Problems are obstacles, something to be overcome not avoided. The only investment into PP is attitude, a positive attitude. Dick, Arno, Bonnie, each of you has pointed out a lack of focus in this group. What do you think this discussion group should be about and where do you think it should go? No hype, no smart remarks, this is an honest question. Once answered, perhaps this group can get back to a positive attitude. Dick everyone has ideas, some better than others. Ridicule only squelches inventiveness and creativity. Their ideas, good or bad, are as important to them as yours are to you. :)

No pleasure philosophy, no sensuality, no place nor power, no material success can for a moment give such inner satisfaction as the sense of living for good purposes, for maintenance of integrity, for the preservation of self-approval.
