Make sure that you read the article on Pickens and his plan on page 9 in Tuesday's Star Ledger. The reporter questions Pickens agenda on alternative energy; is Pickens involved in it just to make money.

Today's Star Ledger had a letter to the editor on windmills mentioning that they could be placed in the Meadowlands.

Steven,

Welcome to the group.

The plan is to organize a large group of individuals that will lobby state officials to recognize the urgency of developing a comprehensive alternative energy plan which includes wind power. We have no intention to encourage or support any subsidies for any proposal.

Alex

New Jersey Assemblyman Ralph Caputo (District 28) is working on legislation to provide a wind power proposal before the State legislature during there next session in the fall.

Once the bill is introduced, statewide support will be need.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for setting up this group. I am interested in learning more about wind power and those that support it. When you say lobby officials to develop a comprehensive plan.... Are we lobbying for subsidies to support these plans as well?

Lorraine,
Lorraine,
Thank you for your support.
Within a short time I will know the status of any legislation, therefore, no need for petitions at this time. I'll keep you updated.

Hey everyone,
I'm so excited about the possibilities of the Pickens Plan. Looking at these posts it seems NJ is already considering implementing wind farm(s). I am available for activities to help support a wind farm along the NJ Turnpike / Garden State Parkway. I think that makes alot of sense. Heaven knows it would only improve the view : )
Alexander, shall we start a petition to back up your suggestion to Ralph Caputo? I'm willing to hit the JC Farmer's Markets and Union Sq., NYC.

Join the others who have already voiced the need to get the GOP and the Pickens Plan together. Visit '08 Republicain Platform Committee, create an account and let your voice be heard. I did and you should too!

Christopher,
There is a proposal by the NJ Office of Clean Energy to build a 350 magawatt wind farm about 16 miles off the shore of South Jersey. You can Goggle this topic for details.
