Bill Mollring sent me the following. Read it and jam the switchboard!

Aloha,
In two weeks the 30% Federal Tax credit on new Solar and Wind installations will expire. Without this incentive the alternative energy industry will have a major setback. Congress can renew this credit, but they are bickering and may let it expire and then go on their summer break. Now is the time to contact your representatives in Congress and let them know this important bill has to be renewed.

Nancy Pelosi could bring this issue up for a vote, but she has stalled on this bill and will not call for a vote.
Her phone number is: 202 225-0100 I urge you to call her and let her know we want this tax credit and it needs to be voted on. It is time to let Congress know we want action.
Thank you.

I have sent letters to Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) concerning the action Congress must take to extend government support for alternative energy. I also sent letters to Corzine in New Jersey where I also have a house, and to Nancy Polosi, Speaker of the House. All of this is very simple. You can go to the AWEA website and get form letters if you like and also forward them real easily, or you can use the links up above.

Call to action: The Production Tax Credit was rejected by the Senate. Please contact all federal representatives to support this legislation.

Using the instructions below, when you get to the page with "Elected Officials" , just click the link under "Action Alert" to tell our members on Congress to extend the PTC.

Thanks for your help.

Hi
If you are interested in sending email to your state and/or federal representatives to push for legislative action, particularly for the Production Tax Credit (PTC) that ends in 2008, then please read on. The American Wind Energy Association has done us a HUGE favor by creating a one stop shopping site to allow a person to enter their email content and their zip code, and the site will take care of emailing your federal or state reps. It appears you have cut and paste the your email template twice - once for feds and once for state. But the nice thing is no researching the contact data and sending individual emails. Here are the steps to access their site:

Go to ->

http://www.awea.org/legislative/

Click "Legislative Action Website"
Click " Elected Officials"
Enter your zip
Click "Go"
Then Click "Federal" or "State" (you can do both but not at the same time).
Enter your email and click "Send Message".

I hope this helps.

Bruce this is a great action site.

Pickens Army,

There may be relief in sight. We need to track this legislation and make sure the American people are protected as it moves through congress. This could open up the conversion market if we hold our representatives and senators feet to the fire.

Here is a piece of legislation that proposes to deal with the natural gas regulations on the federal level.

Senator James M. Inhofe of Oklahoma Introduces Drive America on Natural Gas Act and we need to show our support. This is a first step on the road to energy independence.

Below is the contact page.

Here is Senator James M. Inhofes website

The regulations of certification are addressed in a way to open up the market. Finally!!!!!!!!!

David Baker contributed this section.

We have to drown out the foreign oil Lobbyists in Washington. Collectively We have to become the VOICE for changing our reliance on foreign oil, by Vocalizing our Support for the wide scale use of Alternative Energy Producing Systems.

The ACTION we can take Today is to influence our LEGISLATURE. We must change the thinking in Washington. This is accomplished by CONTACTING your Senator, Representative, Governors.

The following links to Websites are one way of Contacting Congress. I find these links to be the quickest at getting to the "contact web form" used by most of Washington.

Vote Them out of Office. http://push.pickensplan.com/group/votethemoutofoffice
We have elected the same bunch of politicians to their respective offices over and over. Some have been there way to long. It is time to replace them with someone else, someone with the right ideas. It will take a few years but it needs to be done. Look at your senators and representatives, check their voting records. Think about what they have done to our energy policies. It is your call. If you re-elect the same, you will get the same. The blame for our current situation rests on those who are now in office. Very few in there have tried to do anything right. Think about it seriously, not along party lines. This problem has festered for years and years. Time to clean house.

You may want to join my group at top too. We need to get congress moving. Write, call, e-mail, mail, etc. Tell them what you think about this, If they are in the category above then vote them out.
