Generally, we tend to want the freebies in life, the easy way out. We've had the technology to push renewable energy for decades - solar, wind, geothermal, etc., yet we chose cheap (at the time) oil. Now we're paying for it - when we're forced to change.
The first step in solving the world's energy problems and global warming problems is simple - use less energy. Think GREEN. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Drive fuel efficient cars, switch to CFLs, turn the lights out, car pool, the list goes on.
The next step is to create an infrastructure of green renewable energy sources. We know how to (and are finally doing it), but we need more leadership to really push these programs into action.

Thank you for starting this site. The future is in your hands. I am very interested in seeing how alternative energy ideas develop across the country.
