Share 'Off Grid Data Center'
Here's a crazy idea. If a data centers biggest load is cooling, why aren't they building them in Iceland or Greenland? Use geothermal for steam turbines to produce electricity and use the ambient air for cooling. Now all you need is fiber and you have a self sustaining data center.
