Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
All my life my family have driven conservation into me. My mother lives in Mexico completely off the grid (Solar, Wind, and Water tanks). My dad drive a Bio Diesel powered by vegetable oil collected from clients that we process in flat plan van on the property. We’d like to expand this to several others in a study over time through a grant proposal.
What excites you about this campaign?
I think that right now we are at an crossroads of time where world is thirty for big ideas and monumental change. The energy crisis, the economic crisis, and the elections have created an environment where change can take hold but it’s important that we don’t let this window of opportunity slip by. Particularly, I think it’s a perfect time to talk with the auto makers and offer them a glimpse into the new world where they can thrive.
What do you want to do to help?
I am an attorney in DC and as Co District Leader in of DC we will organize a team here push the plan. Also, I'd like to draw up a proposal to the auto industry and TARP to make the plan a condition to receiving any TARP funds. Example: US could purchase only natural gas and/or hydrogen cars but will pay up front for the purchase so many cars over so many years.
Yes, I wish to remain active with the Pickens Plan. Mainstream america has a lot to learn about energy alternatives and conservation. As a person who lives off the grid, I understand how relatively easy it is to create your own energy. I am always amazed still at people who even living with solar systems do not understand how to conserve energy; they want to still be mega consumers and keep the lights on,TV on, washer and dryer running, etc. I have a relatively small system and still manage to have enough power for all my needs, which include operating sewing machines. I sold my backup generator because I never used it.
I am so pleased with the excellent job you do as D.C. District leader (proud Mom) !!!
New painting done by Andrew Broadbent in support of The Natural Gas Act Pickens Plan. America's dependence on foriegn oil is out of control. We can convert all the 18 wheeled trucks in our country to run on are own Natural gas.Alternative energy policies need to move forward.I see in your photo you have met T Boone. What is the best way for me to get this to him? Should I a copy to his office in Texas?
I want to get a Haynesville "street team" going to get the film into
communities across the country via house parties and community
screenings. The movie is a great way to educate people as to the
potential of natural gas as a clean, domestic energy source/fuel. So
many people said they were not good at community outreach because they
didn't know what to say. Well, this film does the talking for you!!!
It is an independently produced film which means it is a grassroots
film for a grassroots organization! I'd like all State and District
Leaders to get a copy. We have all worked very hard on this movement
and I think this film will make our job even easier. Please tell your
friends on and off the web about the film via your blog or website and
please get your own copy of the DVD to show to people in your area
such as your friends and family, schools, churches, business groups,
Would like to produce a Green Revolution Show with you and other eastern state leaders, and hopefully some congresspeople. About a week ago we did a show with the Ohio People and Congressman Tim Ryan that I thought went well. Would like to stay with that same format. Call me; 760-961-1313, or email; firstname.lastname@example.org and let's talk about it.

Free Alternative Energy Available Now !
America Continues to Waste over 70% of the Energy it Consumes.
100's of millions of lights unnecessarily burn during the day and night, over heating and over cooling is the norm, over packaging, inadequate recycling, toxic landfills, horrendous road congestion, and our perverted obsession with road construction. Public and Private buildings, Schools, Churches, Homes, ... America's blatant energy waste and overuse is culturally pervasive, and abominable !
1- ONLY with a substantial and tangible economic reward/consequence will most Americans care to conserve.
Crude oil must be taxed at $200 per barrel and offset by making income tax begin at $60k.
Taxing energy is simple, fair, economically sound, and available TODAY.
2- The American auto industry must quickly transition to the 6.4 BILLION people reason$ to manufacture solar, wind, and other alternative energy producers. They already have the needed infrastructure. Every home and building in the world, could be using solar energy. We are fast running out of fossil fuels !
Humanity is racing toward extinction, via global warming, for our failure to stop our energy waste.
Taxing energy (in lieu of income taxes) is the ONLY incentive that will stop energy waste and cause renewable energy sources to be employed.

The naysayers to alternative fuel sources are perpetuating the myth that a major infastructure makeover is necessary to facilitate a changeover. There are already systems in place which can be expanded on. Many states already operate a fleet system of cars, trucks and buses that have converted to CNG. These " Fleet Garages" have simply converted their fuel tanks to facilitate the use of CNG.
. Why can't the government mandate that these major gas companies have a percentage of their gas stations have at least 1 CNG PUMP? .There are mandates on emission control, and safety features, and even when all analog transmissions will end, so what is so difficult about this?
The reason more people have not converted to CNG is because it is not available at the pumps. The majority of cars built in the US since 1999 can be converted to CNG. The conversion kits cost appx $600 and professional installation appx. $5500. Again, as the volume of installation increases these prices will drop. Why not give the customers and installers a rebate for installation ? Let the CNG supplier bear the cost of converting ONE pump per station for those gas stations ( they will make that back) and have a mandate on when all vehicles should be alternative ready. Again, what is so difficult in doing this?????
Good work you are doing!
We've got a PETITION started and it's getting some good traction.
We're telling President Obama and the Congress to allow more of us to "hook up" the the grid, Net metering regulations are all over the place across our country, we're asking President Obama and Congress to require utilities to allow 5% of the households in the area that they service to hook up to the grid with their own private alternative energy systems.
I'd appreciate it if you would go take a look at it and sign it.
