Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Since leaving home I've been exploring alternative energy. I've taught myself about biodiesel production, both from soy and from recycled cooking oils. I've recently begun a patent on a deep-ocean, wave energy generation module. The concept being a big number of small generators rather than a small number of big generators. Also, I find bio-alcohol applications terribly fascinating.
What excites you about this campaign?
I grew up in the wind corridor, and I can say that there is more room for wind power than most folks could even imagine. Also, it would be a boon to small farmers and all of the local economies in this part of the country.
What do you want to do to help?
Find funding to start a wind power generation franchise.

Merry Christmas Adrian,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Adrian, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Hi Adrian,

We have new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits shipping now. The kits are attractive, sleek, well designed to install as a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, like dishwasher, etc. You can now begin a personal energy plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in the winter, Your Sun shines stronger in the summer months. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs and Adrian, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Please see these windmaps at the link below and pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

Hello! My name is Andrew Lewis. I'm an official Online Organizing Director for Picken's Plan notifying you of a call to action.

We are gearing up house parties in communities all over the United States to spread the word about Picken's Plan and get communities plugged in to real renewable energy reform.

Since your the creator of this group I was curious if you may know some people making plays in your group who would be interested in hosting a house party. The more house parties the better!

Thank you!

Andrew

Adrian,
Thank you for your interest in ETT and questions. Your route idea has great merit, and a licensee in OKC is interested in the OKC-Tulsa leg. Your questions:
1. What are the friction characteristics of the assembly, and how often would components need replacement?

Of course the preferred suspension technology is maglev, and ETT uses a new passive form invented in China called HTSM. The friction of HTSM has meen measured by researchers in Japan to be 10ee-6, and in the US as low as 10ee-7 (if the vehicle weighed a million pounds the magnetic friction could be less than one pound). With no friction, and very little air in the system (10ee-6 atm pressure) wear would almost nil. The only moving parts being the airlock, and it's gate valves (currently the seals on commercially available gate valves last over a million cycles).

2. How sensitive is the tube to elevation drift due to masts being founded in highly expansive soils?

As you know, this depends on the design speed, and the characteristics of the specific soils. As disclosed in the patent, (available on www.et3.com )higher speed systems will require active alignment to mitigate alignment changes due to earth forces.

3. What could be done to lower the cost per mile of tube installation, and how does your published estimate of construction cost compare with other high-speed train rail assemblies?

The per mile cost is as low as we could come up with, and is for ideal soils and topography. That said, it is likely that many ways to save cost will be found. The tube material for instance is reported to have been duplicated under license in China, and available there at one third the cost per yard - this indicates to me that with high volume (and competition) there will be significant savings.
Our detailed cost study was for Orlando-Tampa, and done in 2002 dollars, compared directly with the other bids forthe FHSRA RFP, the cost advantage was more than a factor of 10 reduction in cost compared to elevated and electrified High Speed Rail having the same capacity, but much lower design speed.

Adrian,
With your engineering background i think you will likely find intrest in ETT. Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT)™ is patented transportation technology that can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh than electric cars or trains, it is cleaner, lower cost, safer, faster, and electric (so it can use Pickens wind power or PV to it's highest and best use). I completely agree with you. I grew up in NW Oklahoma. My family owns several acres of farmland there. The area is ideal for establishing wind farms. Aside from raising crops, primarily wheat, there are no industries in our rural communities. Small towns, like the one in which I was raised, are dying. Children of families who have lived there, farming the land for generations, are forced to migrate to metropolitan areas to find work. It saddens me to see that lifestyle approach extinction as corporate farming takes over. In the early seventies oil companies began competing to lease our land for drilling rights; then the boom went bust. Once again, a company recently leased some of the land, but so far, no action. Sure, if they drill and find oil, my family will reap significant financial benefits. Establishing wind farms will benefit entire communities and not pollute the environment. This plan is a no-brainer IMHO.

BTW, my nephew is also an engineering grad of OSU. I have around 20 hours of geology (OSU, of course) but the physics ate my lunch; language is my forte, so I'm just a lowly lawyer tilting at windmills.

I have an agenda.....

My life's goal is to have all residential property co-generating electricity in North America by 2025. Little know fact it's only 25% of entire North American Grid Consumption.
This is attainable we have the technology and the man-power.....
We must start now!!!! Time for talk is over.....

I have introduced the Boldest Solar/Housing Initiative ever put forth...
Entire subdivisions of low-cost Modulars with little to no electric bill that retail from $79,900 to $149,900 680sq 2/1 to 1380sq 3/2.
Meets the need for low-cost housing and helps over Stressed Grid during PEAK_USAGE hrs as entire subdivisions come on-line becoming virtual mini-generating stations.

As well as helps the environment…

Win-win-win.
It is the short term solution to a long term problem.......

Now that I have come home to South Georgia....
it is time to enlist All the help with this I can get.
I need more R & D with my new patent Idea an will be asking for Ga Tech's help.....with the SOLAR POWERED RECIRCULATOR GENERATOR which will drive the cost of production down by almost 60% and will also be going back to Washington DC in this election year to demand more from our "so called elected or soon-to-be-elected officials".

I am in negotiations with Roger Little of Spire Solar in Mass to build a 100mw manufacturing plant in Liberty County Ga.

My plan is simple mix Roger's little assembly line with RapidModular.com's walling panels to produce under one roof the
Structures of the future.
