Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I heat my home with a wood boiler instead of paying the gas company a small fortune. I have looked at hybrid vehicles and pneumatic powered vehicles. I plan to switch to solar power for our house when it becomes more affordable.
What excites you about this campaign?
A realistic plan to reduce our dependence on Foreign oil. We need action and not a bunch of hot air from the politicians.
What do you want to do to help?
By spreading the word.

Same here! I am also a native of Troy. The woodburner takes a lot of wood! I burn green wood, cardboard, pine wood, tree of heaven (Alanthus), construction debris along with hardwood. It has nearly paid for itself. My neighbors are far enough away that the smoke doesn't bother them. It is a lot of work cutting that much firewood and it is not fun going out in the winter to cut it when I run out! At some point in the future, I may look into geothermal. I was hooked into a gas well years ago, but when the temperature got down into 20s, the gas would compress and there would not be enough to heat the house.

Hey, hello Alan. My birthplace and home town is Troy. GOOD FOR YOU..........no need for Vectren!! Excellent! I'm in the city limits of Vandalia and the city won't permit a wood boiler. :-(
How well has it worked for you?
