Why can't we decentralize power generation and energy and like tehe Victory Garden of WWII, have everyone invested somehow in generating energy or else joining a coop locally that would band together and put in alternative energy and pull the rug out from under the backward looking oil monopoly of big oil in bed with crony corporatism. We should generate power locally and have many involved in supporting it. This would force the big politicians to stop pushing dead end policies.

I think the worm is finally about to turn. I have worked in the field of solar technologies for over 10 years ( see my profile on alternativeenergy.com) This is truely an exciting time for us, as we now have the oppertunity to advance to the next level with energy efficiency and management. I have felt like a one man band for a very long time now and it is gratifing to see so many people get on board for a national plan to get-r-don!!

I have been in contact with a guy that is trying to put together just such a plan. It is called the victorypowergarden.com Go take a look at it. If we could get our elected officials off of their dead butts to get in the game we could make this work.

I hope you'll take a look at http://www.solarandthermal.com/ The notion of a micro-solar is close to what we're doing. The DG model brings enormous potential in a tiny footprint.
