Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
So far the only thing I am doing is driving a Hybrid. I look forward to learning more about what I can do!
What excites you about this campaign?
I'm excited about the potential. It's time for America to wake up. It's one thing for each president to say what we need to do, but it's about time we hear about how it's going to be done, and when it's going to begin.
What do you want to do to help?
Whatever is needed.

Merry Christmas Allie,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Allie, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Greetings Allie,
Our cost effective, new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits are shipping now. They are sleek, attractive, and well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, like dishwasher, home theatre, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin your Personal Energy Plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in winter, Your Sun shines stronger in summer. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs from day one and Allie, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Check these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

Hi Allie

I have found that petitons are the best way to spread the word AND sign up supporters.

Here is HOW TO TURN THE PLEDGE INTO A PETITION!

I find it easiest to take one pledge, cut off Boone's lines under the pledge and add a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most are more willing to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition.
I ask if they would "sign this petition in support of T, Boone Pickens energy plan to get us off of foreign oil?" Hand them the clipboard so they can read it. I do not require the signers to give me their email if they are reticent - don't let that be a deal breaker - some just do not want to give it.

Check out the 100CLUB group page to see how others have accomplished the task. (it is the first goup on my page) When you send/fax in 100, let me know, we will gladlyinvite you to be a member of the 100CLUB. Your leadership on this will inspire thousands!

There are over 150 people in the pledge challenge that I know of right now. Surely, there are many more that I am unaware of, as it is in many greetings. Those 150 willl bring 15,000 new members. If each brings just 5 friends, these 150 will be responsible for 75,000 new members.

This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. CAN YOU HELP?

When will we ever have a golden opportunity like this again?

BEST
Kim

You go girl, you have already made statement with your purchase of Hybrid vehicle. I just wish the goverment would make tax incintive a little better.

I was refering to State vehicles, in particular state of Pennsylvania, now they are pushing a LSD blend (Low sulfur Diesel). That is made from coal, saying nothing about high quanitys of C02 being generated in conversion process.

Recently I have heard lots of noise being made about Marcellus Shale, natural gas formation in the appalachian basin of Pennsylvania, and lower tier of New York, State, and originally being from Pennsylvania, and that it is so close to major outlets, was wondering why Pickens Plan is not pushing for more exploration in this area?

Hi Allie

WELCOME and thank you for joining Pickens Plan. I am a volunteer greeter - here to help guide you with some ways that you can help.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES
The creators of this site have given us the ability, with little effort, to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Please go to "THE PLEDGE" (at the very top of this page on the blue header). On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue, and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS". Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

DOWNLOAD AND PRINT THE PLEDGE
Carry some copies with you and get as many as you can signed and faxed back to Boone. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a part of the "100 CLUB" by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will add you to that growing list!

BRING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN
The more members we have the bigger our voice to Congress! With enough members, they will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. Now is our chance to be a part of the solution!

FOR MORE INFORMATION
Check out an informative video "Topeka, Kansas Town Hall Meeting": http://www.pickensplan.com/news/2008/08/04/video-of-the-topeka-town-hall

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST
We can always use new, fresh Welcome Wagon “drivers”! If you have some free time during the day, let me know - there are directions on the blog on my page.

PLEASE feel free to FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch and share ideas!

Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS!
BEST
Kim

I am a small business owner, on Main Street, of all things. Whenever those candidates talk about Main Street, it hits home!
http://croppinsville.com - or visit our blog at http://croppinsville.blogspot.com - trying to survive in the current times is TOUGH, but we're sticking it out.
Don't forget to support the little guys (and gals!) and your local artisans. While we can't sell entirely American stuff, we highly encourage you to make what you can, always shop local, and keep it GREEN! It IS easy being green.
