There is no website re: the waste to energy process I spoke of. It is a pretty straightforward process employing high temperature combusters and waste heat boilers. As I believe I said it was developed by Batelle National Laboratories for the US DOE. (bought and paid for by you the taxpayer) It's a once through process garbage in one end natrual gas out the other as well as sufficent heat to generate steam to turn a turbine to produce electricity. As I believe I stated in my original posting implimenting this technology would turn a negative cash flow for the city of LA into a positive cash flow re: the disposition of MSW (municipal solid waste). The politics of waste disposal will not permit, the public is not aware of what a huge lucrative industry waste disposal is in the USA especially for the politicians and those who call the shots in the industry. If you'd like to test what i've put forth just go to your local department of snitation and tell them you'd like to introduce technology that would do away with the local landfill and see what happenes. There is money in garbage but not necessarily for the taxpayer.
We in LA are fortunate in as much as we have in our backyard a large uninhabted desert. I and my associates plan wa sand is simple. The Union Pacific runs from LA out to the Palmdale /Lancaster area, transfer stations can be built about the city where the sanitation trucks can go to transfer their loads of msw to hopper cars. Once each day a train is made up to tranport the msw to a plant that would transpose the msw into natural gas utuilizing the process I preveviously spoke of. The train would make the trip every evening when the track is not used by AMTRACK.. At the plant glas and metals are separated out and sold all the rest becomes gas. A plant sufficent in capacity to process one and a half days supply of LA's msw would be required. Now to carry this one step forwards and electric generating stations could be built in conjunction with the plant and electricity could be generated for the city of LA. there is enoug land out there to build a plant and /or expand a plant to process the msw of Palmdale, Lancaster, and any other city that wish to participate. It has the potential of becoming an energy zone providing the area with a good deal of employment.
The DOE funds National laboratories where research is carried out, any thing developed is subject to the techmology transfer law. The process I've been involved with imploys hight temerature combusters the medium used is superheated sand. It is a very effective process for turning MSW into natural gas. The fact that we the American taxpayer have paid for its development If anyone can figure out to remove politics and special interests from our decision making when it comes to the implimenting of new technology please let me know.
