I'm a newbie at alternative energy, but I know it can make a differece on Earth. Every person must make every small effort for collective change in order to return earth to "The Garden".

What excites you about this campaign?

It shows how one person with a vision, desire and ACTION can independently make a difference without waiting for governments to do it. It also does not station itself in one method but gives multiple choices that will appeal to many.

What do you want to do to help?

Get the word out, volunteer at workshops, help in anyway I am able.

Blog Make no mistake, just in your agreeing with the Pickens Plan and acknowledging that we need to move in a different direction for our sources of energy and then focusing your attention on the idea of that becoming manifest, is a very powerful action in and of itself. But there’s even much more that you have to offer this movement.

When you decided to join the ranks of the Pickens Army you instantly brought something of great value and importance to the table. Now the wording of this may sound odd but what you have is your unique point of view from your unique point of view. While it is possible that many others can have a similar point of view to yours, it is a fact that in this universe no two things can occupy the same space and time. Therefore there is no one who is going to share your exact point of view from your actual physical location and that is from the moment you came into existence to the present.

So why is your unique point of view so important and valuable?

The answer is simple. Because it’s yours! And because life is not just one big singular puzzle piece but is actually made up of billions and billions of interconnecting pieces (viewpoints). Each person’s unique point of view is an integral part of the whole. And that has unquestionable and immeasurable value and importance.

In getting to this point in your life you have accumulated many life experiences. You also have skills, talents, know-how, expertise, knowledge, a personal communication network between you and the various people you know and are connected to in whatever degree and, most importantly, you have creativity, imagination and ideas. Now that is quite a bundle of assets and one incredible resource. This is a powerful resource to tap into. And, it is one that is not only inherent in you but also every other person on the planet. Unfortunately, though, this immensely valuable resource often goes unacknowledged, unrealized, under utilized and wasted by both the individual their self and others in their immediate environment.

So, if there was ever any question about what you can do for this group...for this movement... I hope you will quickly disabuse yourself of any such mystery. As just pointed out, you have a tremendous amount to offer and I encourage you to never minimize or disparage it in any way.

You are not a cog in the wheel. YOU ARE THE WHEEL!

As a 25-year veteran in Power Generation & Energy Development, let me thank you for getting involved and extend an offer to provide insight and assistance in your local effort. This is a very doable plan and it starts with people like you in making it a success. The key to the plans success will be communicating to the masses. It starts with e-mailing 25 non-Pickens Plan members on a Bi-weekly basis with information on energy activities that they can relate to and gain there interest. We need to communicate reality not dreams for unfortunately the American public has a very short attention span and most are living day to day. The Pickens Plan as it stands right now is at the 50,000 ft level. We need to develop a more detailed comprehensive national execution plan for the next five years. The first section should incorporate conservation and placing public pressure on elected officials at all levels of government to engage and approve a national plan. Once we have the grass roots base involved at this level, we can then continue to communicate the next steps of the plan to them to help bring us to the Energy Independence we are looking to accomplish

We have petitions! "THE PLEDGE" is on the main page.

I think this is the very best tool we could ask for. It is so much easier to get someone to sign a petition than to go online and join the plan as a member.

I have been test driving it for a few days and got 200 signatures rather eaasily. Most folks had seen the ads or seen Boone on the news. Most were eager to sign it and strongly support it. A few wanted to get more info- I handed them a business card with the website. Very few said no (2 or 3).

I hope you can ask all your "friends" to download a bunch of PLEDGES and fax them back to the office ASAP. THIS IS HOW WE BUILD AN ARMY much faster. Millions of signatures.

Thank you for all your efforts. We have a very strong team. Many ants can take the Hill!
