I am the Founder and Chief Green Design of GreenTone Environmental Design, an Environmentally Conscious Design Firm specializing in Residential, Commercial and Industrial Sustainable Design, Green Remodeling, Sustainable New Construction, Renewable Energies (wind and solar installations) and Geothermal.

Every Thursday from 3:00-4:00pm Central time, I host a radio program discussing and educating about Sustainable Design/Sustainable Living on Blog Talk Radio through AlternativeEnergy.com. What excites you about this campaign?

I am passionate about Renewable Energy. Our Earth has given us resources to live more sustainably without the need for foreign fuels. Reducing the need for foreign fuels will not only help our environment and the economy, but set the presidence for the future of our children.

Still, I write, am an artist, and work full-time as a rural carrier for the USPS, so I am busy all the time. When I'm able, I like to photograph and care for cats, which are currently my highest costs other than regular bill-paying. But, I am also an inventor and designer, just without time to make it pay, and that won't change until March next year. So, I could use some help in showing me HOW to do a lot of things to improve my house structure and get it ready for remodeling. It is a process, and I see it not happening, unless I do it in stages. Your help would be appreciated and at some point would be on a paid basis. Are you interested? I have a 4 BR, two bath, single story home which with 204 financing from the department of HUD could be a green or LEED qualified 2 story home with space enough for my stuff and solar radiant heating, solar PV and all the conservation processes that could cool and heat my home for the cost of remodeling and redesigning. I estimate the total cost for a mortgage to be about $200,000 and currently, I owe $120,000. That gives room for a lot of improvements if the final payments are under $1,200 a month. TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must implement drastic efficiency improvement.
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains.
