Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Alternative energy is the most pertinent issue facing human beings. I am currently pursuing a doctorate of education with an emphasis in social justice and am currently completing a class entitled: Urban education and Environmental Justice. I am an environmentalist; and have been for most of my life. I am orgainizing a series of educational symposiums in my hometown to inform, educate, and empower community residents to become environmentally conscious by reducing the amount of waste creation, recycling, and reusing materials. I am excited to be on the brink of purchasing my first hybrid vehicle!
What excites you about this campaign?
I've been watching this campaign for the past three years. I admire the tenacity and sincerity demonstrated by Mr. T. Boone Pickens. This campaign has an exceptional organizational structure; but requires more diverse inclusion and outreach. Alternative energy is everybody's responsibility and everybody must be given the opportunity to get involved.
What do you want to do to help?
To help move the Pickens Plan forward, I would like to do the following:
*Organize educational symposiums in the St. Louis Metropolitan area
*Develop and facilitate activities for children ages 2-17 years of age
*Coordinate park events that bring together local, state, and federal government agencies who have a responsibility to alternative energy and environmental responsibility
*Inform, educate, and empower more African Americans and Latinos to get involved in/with the Pickens Plan

Hi April,

Welcome to the Pickens Plan and specifically to the Missouri Plan. I am the State Leader and District 2 Leader. Where are you located? I am very interested in hearing from you about any ideas you have to increase the membership in Missouri and how we can get our legislative leaders from the local level to the national level to join us. You can contact me either through this website, through my facebook account or my home email lady_harley@charter.net. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Rowland
