Hi Again Art,

I don't know how many of you have been troubled by a certain Pickens Plan member, Windenergy7, a salesman who greets new members with a sales pitch usually before we, or an official Pickens Plan greeter can welcome them into the Pickens Plan Army

If you’ve encountered this “person” or have heard complaints of such ilk, please raise your complaints to all Regional Leaders as this “shyster” is playing havoc in my group and very few of the new people he greets first will join our group!

Thank You,
Richard Wickberg
District Leader WA-05

Hi Art,
I forgot what got me down to your group but I feel warmer already! I'll also try and get some of my wife's relitives to join your group. Enclosed is a email form I've been using to send to loose PP members and it's been working on those who haven't been turned off by either the Energy Party or Windenergy7's sales pitch welcoming them to the Pickens Plan. When I see that I write a special disclaimer. here it is:

Hello _____
Welcome from the Washington 5th Congressional District Pickens Plan Group. I’m leader of the WA 5th district group, which the Pickens Plan Army has started and has been growing since Dec. 2008. We’d like to have you as a member, just search for WA-05 in the Pickens Plan Home Page right side, “Find Your Group”. On this page you’ll be instructed to type in your zip code and our page should appear. The Washington 5th Dist, is in the top 20 rated Pickens Plan Army groups in the nation! We meet every other week and attendance isn’t mandatory.

I'm sorry for the delay in getting around to welcoming you personally. The Pickens Plan has gone through reorganization as a result of smaller groups dying. The result is the most prosperous groups remain and members are urged to re-organize into their congressional district groups. The most popular groups still remain.

We will add area groups in our district to benefit non-Spokanites and run by non-Spokanites for the benefit.of out of Towner’s.

For members living near an Idaho border town, feel free to go to meetings there until you can get enough Washington members, later you’ll be having co-meetings and BBQ’s.

Thank You,
Richard Wickberg, Spokane WA
email address

As you see we abut Idaho so cut out whatever or disregard it completely. Some of the groups up here use it.

Take Care,
Richard Wickberg, Spokane, WA

FROM THE REGIONAL LEADER:

We're quickly reaching "go time" here at the Pickens Plan. The 111th Congress has been sworn in and President-elect Obama's inauguration will take place this Tuesday, January 20th.

Have you joined your district group? It's very simple!

Just click on the District leaderboard and scroll down to find your district. Click on the district column (eg: AK-1) and then click 'join' on the group page.

If you're not sure what district you live in, here is a great map-based resource to help you find your Congressional district.

We need your help now more than ever. Please join your district group and get involved with helping achieve district goals. If your district does not yet have a leader, please consider rising to the challenge. Hundreds of talented Pickens Plan members have already become district leaders. Will you be next?

Thank you for all your support!

Regional Leader

Hi Aet,
Thanks for posting the access tomorrows lecture. I think it might make national news, since Houston is the Oil Capital of the World. I spent Christmas in Houston with family, and I will be tuned in.

I hope it goes well, and is well publicized. I like the new reasonung that should be popularized, "Don't send $700B to the Middle E, instead spend in the USA for the Growing AE Industries.

This free trades BS is a one way street. !,800 i-MW of turbines are planned in a wind corridor in Eastern New Mexico. Can you visualize 1,800 wind turbines on the horizon.

An article in the Houston Chronical forecasts 30% increase in electric power generation by 2030. Nuclear Power will double in Texas in 20 years. The new "Energy Independence" plan will take 20 years to happen, and the dollar outflow will go into American paycheck for revitaiztion of our sick economy.

Welcome Art, glad to see you are becoming an organizer for San Jose area. I agree with your opinion that we need full force ahead on development of all energy sources to become independent. As a side note, I want to say my son graduated as a mechanical engineer from San Jose State in 06 and works on the drilling rigs in Wyoming. They are drilling gas wells like crazy in the Rock Springs area. It is a hard, dirty job working the rigs, but I am proud of him for doing it, but Mom's are always proud of their sons.

Welcome to PickensPlan! Enjoy our site and make it yours, bring some friends, make some new friends. Help us get our governments off oil.
Check out a new elecrtic airplane at www.CoolingEarth.org
The future is ours! I am working on 11 new solar projects in N California.
With a good energy plan, we drill now, the oil is available for 15 years, so in 7 or so years we can be a net exporting nation again which helps pay for our renewable energy to solve climate change- HaveFun

Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Solar pool heating in 1979.... I also sold Solar Water Heater Systems from 1981-1989.....
What excites you about this campaign?
It's about doing SOMETHING tangible to reduce our dependency on hostile nations. There needs to be a full frontal assault on development of all energy sources at our disposal. Wind, Sun, Hydroelectric, Nuclear and Domestic Oil production. We cannot afford to be dependent on sources outside the USA for our energy needs.

Energy Independence.....

Time to approach all elected officials for a multi faceted approach to energy independence. Having lived through the 1970's version of the OPEC squeeze, it's time we send a very stern message to our friends and enemies in the Middle East. We can make a difference in the world by bringing forward new technologies that will reduce the ability of our enemies to manipulate our markets and energy supply. It's time to utilize the knowledge and the natural resources at our disposal.... SUN, WIND, COAL,… Continue

From the desk of T. Boone Pickens

Army,

Starting today, and every month from now on, I will do an event to show how many barrels of oil were imported in the previous month.

The goal of the Pickens Plan is to get that number going down so that we are less and less dependent on foreign oil.

For example, the nearly $475 billion we sent overseas for foreign oil in 2008 could have been better spent right here in America building schools, wind turbines, solar farms and helping insulate houses and… Continue
