Boone Pickens coming to South Dakota

I think it great that Mr. Pickens is coming to South Dakota, only problem is he should in the eastern part and in a smaller community. Senator Thune says he is supportive of wind power but he voted against the PTC the last two times it was voted on. Boone Pickens should come to a smaller community and be interviewed by a actual wind developer,i know the perfect developer,he is looking at a project in my county.

Hi. Let me introduce myself as the new district coordinator for South Dakota. There are some exciting times coming between now and the inauguration. Boone is challenging us to get to 2 million members by inauguration day. I am asking you to reenergize yourself and contact all your friends and get them to sign up for the Pickens Army. If they don’t have email, there is a signup sheet that you can use and you can submit their names etc. if you read the news this morning, OPEC is going to raise the price of oil and reduce production by another 2 million barrels a day. We absolutely must reduce our dependence on foreign oil. I like to use this phrase when it comes to doing things. “The best decision to make is the best one. The next best thing is the wrong one, but the worst decision to make is to do nothing.” I know you must be concerned about alternative energy or you wouldn’t have signed up for the PickensPlan. Lets help everyone out by signing up everyone..please add me to your friend list and I will be in touch…thanks, Doug

Bruce,

Love the name Bruce and had childhood good buddy by name of Voigt. Unless you come from PA or Florida ancestors you may not be a relative, More importantly please tell me you really know better than to talk about wind power as energy.

This distinction is very important for a number of reasons. Just two are that we must stop talking past one another when trying to educate government agencies at all levels. I see you doing this, Another is that we need to "circle the wagons" against some big oil companies who use the mass confusion about the subject of energy to line their pockets while emptying ours. I spent about three and a half years in British Petroleum Management who now call themselves BP, "Beyond Petroleum" They are not behond petroleum nor are they at all stupid. Get back to me if interested.
I sincerely wish you well in your efforts,

Galen Calvert

Summerset is next to Black Hawk, just outside of Rapid City.

I'd love to attend a meeting about wind energy - it's something my family has been seriously looking into for our home.
