- It revisits the ideas of the 70s that somehow disappeared. I want a strong America not dependent on foreign oil. I fear that if the oil was cut off by terrorists our country would die.

Would you like to help with a project?
This would be a committee consisting or you, Tom Wilson and Stephanie Lucheria. You three would work together to come up with an "Energy Savvy Quiz" to benefit us all but especially people new to our group who might feel they need to know some more basic facts about energy, the Pickens Plan, etc. It could include questions like: What does O.P.E.C. stand for? (Oil Producing and Exporting Countries) You could even get the group involved by asking them to come up with their own questions to add to the quiz.
The final product could be posted on the website.

This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

I think magnetic bumber stickers/refrigerator magnets are a great idea. Would go nicely with other ad tools being employed. I can see them dotting cars and trucks like the "I support the Troops" bumber stickers. Great idea. Perhaps you could float it in the forum and/or team up with others to implement it. Sounds great.
It's Clynton by the way. It seems to confuse a lot of people, but that's the way my mommy wanted it spelled.

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining the Pickens Plan. Just wanted to let you know that a real person out here appreciates you taking that first step.
We are busy preparing resources for you to get started. My page has a few links that you might find useful. There are countless others who would gladly accept your help and provide you with any help you might need.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to guide your path. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and when you are comfortable, letting others know about the website. The people here are interested in making the plan a success and those you invite should be able to see for themselves that this is the right place to be.

Other steps you might consider:
- Some are working their contacts to increase press and blog coverage.
- Some are writing to their congressional representaves and senators.
- Some are calling Congress at (202)225-3121 and asking if they support renewable energy in 10 years.
- Some are asking people in the public eye to speak out on behalf of ending foreign oil dependance.
- Some are writing letters to the editor of their local paper(s).
- Some are downloading flyers and plastering their cars and businesses.
- Some are turning their companies, large and small towards building wind turbines.
- Some are starting investment firms for the purpose of investing in these companies.
- Almost everyone is telling others that they know about the site and the plan.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something - large or small.
