- I've been wanting to get solar panels on my roof for some years now. I can't wait until they become an every day reality and are cost effective so I can.
I'm also putting off buying a new car and intend to only buy a hybrid.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I believe that Barack Obama really means it when he says he wants to work on this very important issue. I think the other guy is just giving us the words, but, by the way he's pushing for 'offshore drilling' and doesn't say much else, I doubt he'll deliver us anything better.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I'd be glad to put signs on my lawn with the website. I'd attend any rallys in my area. I'm not much of an organizer, but I'd surely participate.

The larger our membership the more likely we will be successful in getting Congress to provide effective incentives for alternative and renewable energies and in insuring that our future president will treat energy independence as a matter of the greatest urgency, applying the same kind of leadership as JFK exercised when he led us with his stirring challenge to put a man on the moon in 10 years. Please take the time today to bring 5 new members to the site.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to think that we could be looking back and apologizing to our children that we chose not to get this done when we had the chance.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan. Print downloadable flyers and put them in your car and/or business window.
YOU MAY FEEL INSIGNIFICANT
Individually, we each feel the same way, but together we will lay the foundation for a stronger, more prosperous and more secure America. Thanks again for joining us in this historical effort!
