Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
With more than 20 years as an executive in emerging high-tech and energy industries, I am currently seeking ways to maximize use of natural gas in the marketplace and leading a personal campaign in the DFW are to promote use of natural gas as a fuel for vehicles, i.e., a commercially available technology, a domestic resource base for energy independence, stimulate the local economy and provide a cleaner environment.

See my article: titled “Time Is Right for Compressed Natural Gas,” which appeared in the July 25 -31, 2008 issue of Dallas Business Journal, page 36. Please note that it mentioned Devon in the article.

Also, my activities have been published in Shlachter, Perotin, Fuquay's commentary titled “Fill ’er up with gas,” which appeared in the Star-Telegram on July 3, 2008 (scroll down to the second section, titled as noted above).

Additionally, I worked with the DoE to identify commercially viable technologies, established the National Hydrogen Fund in 1997, participated as a panelist at the 8th Annual U.S. Hydrogen Meeting hosted by the National Hydrogen Association and DoE, and served as a technical advisor for Smart Power, Spectral Solar, Urban Energy and Harvard Business School for alternate energy projects.
What excites you about this campaign?
Since the advent of the National Hydrogen Fund, which I created back in 1997, I have been fighting for commercialization of alternate energy technologies that:are: 1. commercially available,
2. use a domestic resource base,
3. will stimulate economic development, and
4. provide a cleaner environment.

For reasons of national security and the health and welfare of our country and future generations, I share the same vision, passion and agenda as Mr. Pickens.
What do you want to do to help?
Education, awareness, operations and development

Texas Oil Firms Oppose California Climate Law (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/08/science/earth/08energy.html)

On April 8, 2010, John M. Broder and Clifford Krauss reported in the New York Times: “Several Texas oil companies are bankrolling a petition drive to suspend California’s path-breaking climate change law in a move that may prove a bellwether for national efforts to address global warming.”…

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. We need your help.

There is a perfect storm of events happening right now that create the possibility of a paradigm shift that is urgently needed. We have an angry citizenry due to pain at the pump, a presidential election on the horizon, and a man with a plan to dramatically and imminently reduce our dependance on foreign oil, and provide a bridge to future solutions, who has the resources, contacts, knowledge, wealth and "will" to get it done.

Please share this plan with your circle of friends, family and associates. Urge them to JOIN. As you know, it is simply like signing a petition. With large numbers of supporters, we can put pressure to bear on Congress to incentivize alternative and renewable energies, and insure that our future president will be a leader that will push for domestic energy solutions. JFK once said. "in the next 10 years we will put a man on the moon". He got it done. We need that kind of leadership on energy.

Time is of the essence. If gas prices retreat the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not get this done when we had the chance.
