- The plan just makes sense to me. I would love to buy a CNG powered car if there were enough gas stations with CNG pumps. My goal is to try and not buy a new car until I can buy a CNG car.

After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.
- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.

Your comment was spot on! There is one way to get the politicians to listen to the people. Make a noise so loud and consistent that it changes the paradigm of though on energy in this country! When we ALL demand it - in the many millions- there will be no place to hide. When it is political suicide to do business as usual and ignore the simple answer to our most pressing problem.... they will have to know they will be gone. Hit them where they live.
THE ONLY WAY to do that is with sheer numbers. As Thomas Friedman has stated, "like the civil rights movement.. only large, strong and consistent grass roots efforts can create change." WILL you help?
The petition is the fastest way to grow our numbers. I have sent in over 160 in the last 3 weeks. I simply say, "I am gathering support for T Boone Pickens PLan to get us off of forign oil and onto American solutions." I have not found one person who does not want to get off foreign oil.... and keep all that money in this country. Did you know we borrow the money from China that we pay to the Middle East- it is ludicrous!
It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work.
We have a choice. Sit back and let it happen.... or take action and stop it once and for all. We will get what we deserve..... I hope to hell it is energy independance. I am willing to hook my wagon to Boone's horse and plow like crazy to make sure. I hope you will too. WE CAN DO THIS!
