- I have no experience, but we need to quit buying oil from other countries and use this money to invest in America, to create jobs, stimulate our economy, and generate taxes money to operate our government.

- The opportunity to help make something good and very important to the future of our country happen.

- President-elect Obama is looking for projects to stimulate our economy. He and we have the opportunity to invest in our country establishing the infrastructure and research needed to transport and utilize the energy captured from the wind, the sun, the ocean, offshore and Alaska oil drillilng, etc.

WE must get this done before Inauguration Day and give Obama the support he needs to accomplish this lofty goal, AND INSURE that Congress can not derail him. Special interests and lobbyists will surely try - we must be louder and stronger. Thomas Friedman has said, only a huge grass roots movement will cause the revolution in change that we seek!

Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. Well as they say (the large lady voiced the end). Neither candidate openly gave his support outright for our plan. Both knew about it and to a degree felt the intense support behind it. It goes back to another old saying, on the political platform be careful how far you put your foot in the door.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, Please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.

Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state; you can find them to the right, in the Featured Members section. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.
PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinator, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.
