A New Perspective

Most of you are (painfully) aware that I've spent the past 2+ years

researching the validity and causes of the multiple economic, energy,

ecological and social crises that the world is currently facing -- with

depressing results.

I've spent the past few months trying to transition my energy away from cataloging the errors of the past and toward what to do with my present and future. I had reached a point of paralysis.

So what can we do? That's the… Continue

Inside The Dead Sea Scrolls

One of the other Heavy Hitters I've been talking to lately is Robert Eisenman -- the person most responsible for liberating the Dead Sea Scrolls from the religious and antiquities curators who kept their contents secret from the public for over 30 years. I met him through an odd quirk of fate while I was engrossed in studying the scrolls on my own.

Many of the scrolls found at Qumran date from as late as 66 CE, and tell a fascinatingly different (and yet eerily similar) story about the… Continue

A Framework For Effective Reform

It has been suggested by some (and probably suspected by most) that I am

a malcontent with lots of ideas about what is wrong with this country

and very little (if any) idea of what to do about it. That is probably

true, actually. But inasmuch as the trading of these words is little

more than entertainment (akin to each of us fiddling while Rome burns), I

see no harm in taking a written stab at an alternative structure for

government that would actually support… Continue

Wanna Play a Game?

OK, this one is a bit tongue in cheek but in retrospect, it might not be such a bad idea to create an actual Internet game (linked to live economic data) to engage the younger generation on this topic.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd like to challenge you to a role-playing game.

THE PREMISE OF THE GAME

Suppose (hypothetically, of course) that our entire global economy were totally… Continue

Bill,
You are no doubt aware that many of our communications were public to the PP community. I hope that you share the sentiment that what we are doing is public service. I am a grandfather of two fine young boys. One is a infant and the other a grade schooler.
I do not want them to re-live my grandfathers' miseries. I do not want them to repeat my mistakes. Yep, I know they will have to do their own things, but in my case it isn't necessary for them to grow up with a culturally induced split civic personnality. I am NOT trying to imply I know your personnal history. Quit the contrary, I am mostly familiar with the sterotype which I know is a cultural fallacy of our society.
If the fallicies of the ideals that were institutionalized long before you or I were born can be somehow exposed thru honest dialogue, maybe just maybe we will put some on demons that plague our nation to rest.
The other segment of our community, the elites, do often use the excuse that what they do is all for the 'common good'. (Is that a label on the wallet pocket of their trousers?) They are not personally responsible for the creation of cultural stigmas that pollute our society, but they are responsible for choosing to take advantage of them to pit humans against each other for profit. Shame on them, but all the same they will have to be held responsible in some sane manner. If we don't do it, they won't do it for themselves because so few of them have any sane ideas.
Let us agree to continue our dialogue. At somepoint, we will both see that a following will develop of persons who empathize repectfully. If we can help them see others the way we see each other, then we can help each other help ourselves. A another point, we will likely need to nominate successors who can continue the deconstruction work. Lets get there together.

Thaks Bill,

What I am doing is as follows...

I am exploring PP because it has a lot of casual but non-the-less interested members who may have become disenchanted with the whole idea of PP. Once I can see how the system works, I will start recruiting external sources using the Facebook and Twitter (Shudder) tools to find potentials.

I don't want to sound sarcastic, but I do want to make certain that everyone understands I am not doing this just for grins. I have a profit motive, but I won't let it interferre with the work I am doing on PP. T. Boone didn't forbid it and I think its a evenswap if it is done in a manner that keeps things separate. Hopefully, that doesn't offend you. In any case, I can guarantee you that  you won't be getting spams or solicitations for male enhancement pills from the people that I contact and point to the TRANSITION pages.

I will not be a matchmaker in the sense of datingor that stuff. I intend to try to point people of the same sympathies and interests to the Getting Started PP page. I know that they will have to register and log in but my goal is as follows.

We will need grassroots ecommittees to do things on local regional and national scopes. I will kind of recruit people to work on ideas and point them to people like yourself who understand the history of what it is we are doing. If they stay and play, Yea! If not, they never loved us anyway...

Thx, I hope that you will be looking forward to meeting more interesting people who feel like you do. We aren't licked yet!

Malcontent or not, you are committed to getting the job done so I want your insight and assitance. We can't afford the self-defeatiing acrimony we have fell into feeling towrds each other. You may anger some, but you make others think and that is the true strength of the nation.

Thinking, caring and committed will root out scheming, greed and criminal.

So, um, Bill, what would you want for the rights to your October 31 game??? That's pretty funny actually. I've never been into RPG's like D&D etc... but my son is, and so are some of the Mensa folks I know. Mensa actually has SIGs dedicated to various game genres...

If it weren't such a potentially dismal outcome I say it sounds like fun... but then again look at Monopoly... So if you do decide to convert it to a board game and become filthy rich in the process, keep me in mind :^)

Mr. Kuykendall, While educating myself on the advancements of the green economy I came across many inventors, scientists and engineers short of funds. Pickensplan does have a solution you might look up green banking. Green banking is the basics for funding projects to get started on green jobs. The bank is chartered for 20 years for American entrepeneurs to obtain funding for green projects. Please spread the good news to all in need.
