Dear Mr. Mollring:
Thank you for contacting me regarding the New Alternative Transportation to Give Americans Solutions Act of 2009 (S. 1408/H.R. 1835).
It is my belief that our energy plan must be comprehensive and address national, economic, and environmental security. Our policies will require a break from a reliance on fossil fuels to deployment of alternative and renewable forms of energy – hydrogen, solar, wind, ocean waves, and biomass – to provide electricity and fuel for homes, business, and transportation. I also recognize that we will continue to rely on fossil fuels, such as natural gas, in the interim.
I support the intent of the New Alternative Transportation to Give Americans Solutions Act of 2009, which was introduced in the Senate by Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and in the House by Representative Dan Boren (D-OK). This legislation aims to develop a new generation of natural gas powered vehicles. To achieve this goal, new tax incentives would be authorized for the production of vehicles fueled by natural gas. Tax incentives would also be provided to encourage use of fuels mixed with liquified natural gas.
In addition, the bill would extend the tax credit for alternative fuel vehicle refueling property expenditures to 2027. Under the bill, 50 percent of all new vehicles purchased by the federal government would be required to be operational with compressed or liquefied natural gas. The bill also authorizes the Secretary of Energy to make grants to manufacturers of light and heavy duty natural gas vehicles for the development of engines that reduce emissions. S. 1408 was referred to the Senate Committee on Finance. H.R. 1835 was referred to the House Science and Technology Subcommittee on Energy and Environment and the House Committees on Ways and Means and Oversight and Government Reform.
I will keep your thoughts in mind as the Senate considers energy policy in the
111th Congress. Again, mahalo for contacting me.

Allen Hydro Energy Corporation (AHEC) a renewable energy startup has a US Patented Process for generating large-scale hydroelectricity from within a 70-story building by reusing the same water. It's the solution to Global Warming. Check it out at http://www.ahecEnergy.com
I'm seeking seed investment to prevent this idea from following the same faith as the electric car decades ago.

I've wondered if the surface color, hue, sheen, has anything to do with the function of the blades? Repel birds? If not, then I've got a suggestion which could be a secondary use, and encourage wind turbine placement on some avenues to attract attention to businesses, or entertainment venues: PAINT THEM with distinctive colors, and patterns; like pinwheels, daisies, flashing color schemes like the traditional barber poles. LoGos. And the like. Would that have any adverse effect on the function, or wildlife safety?
Natural gas has approx. million btu's in 1000 MCF for 4 four bucks.
Diesel has 132,000 btu's in a gallon for 3 three bucks. So it takes 7 gallons of diesel to get same but output.
So do you want to pay 4 bucks or 21 bucks. Pretty simple math but the numbers are there and there is a pay out and way to get out of this mess from overseas. Im in the oilfield and the new Mitchell Energy Shale Oil gas has revolutionized the oilfield. If the government wants to employ people and get this economy and country moving again turn us loose on our own natural resouces here in the Red, White, and Blue.
