Small Wind Turbine Federal Tax Credit is Law
Today Congress passed legislation, the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, H.R. 1424, that includes a new federal-level investment tax credit to help consumers purchase small wind turbines for home, farm, or business use. A few hours ago, President Bush signed the bill into law. Owners of small wind systems with 100 kilowatts (kW) of capacity and less can receive a credit for 30% of the total installed cost of the system, not to exceed $4,00… Continue

SOLAR TAX CREDIT BILL PASSED TODAY! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP IN GETTING THIS DONE.

We're entering a new era of solar energy.

Congress just passed historic solar legislation that will increase the use of solar energy all across the America, and the President signed it into law. HR1424 extends the 30% solar tax credit for eight years and removes the $2000 monetary cap for residential solar electric installations.

Wow! I just visited the Windspire website. You seem to have thought of everything a potential buyer would need. I liked very much two elements on the site, one being the manufacturing plant in Michigan and the other being that the vertical axis turbine is mounted at ground level and does not exceed 35 ft. in height. I also read that they are more efficient and produce more electricint on the same amount of wind than the fanwheel / propeller types. And, they look like they would be a lot easier to work on and they are "easier on the eyes". I can see some form of vertical windmills along the four corners of a commercial building.......just ginning electricity.
