- Since 2007, I have been watching the world scramble to figure out where all of America's wealth has went. They have all but realized the money everyone is wondering about was just spent filling their gas tank. The billions of dollars wasted every year on oil until now has not really affected out pocketbooks. Probably because we were supposedly the richest nation in the world, but this problem plays out just like any other problem concerning a person (only this time I speak of the entire U.S.) coming into riches for the first time, only this is based on a much larger scale.
My stepfather (Charles Mariano) won a million dollars ($750,000 after taxes), so just imagine how much taxes are being charged on a few hundred billion being spent to buy more oil from the middle east and other oil exporters. He spent the majority of it on real estate, and now he is broke, so to continue the analogy, America came into riches many years ago, since the dawn of the gasoline engine and other manufacturing modernizations, it has earned more money than anyone could ever imagine ( we can imagine it now because our deficit is up to 11 trillion dollars), now after decades of paying other countries to provide us energy, everyone is wondering where their money has went. Ill tell you where - to foreign nations. Lets recap, America- land of the bad investors, puts more money into the energy business than any other nation, thus America ends up controlling most of the world trade. After years of scientists telling our nations leaders there is not enough resources, and the fact we are going to offset the climate of the planet (our only planet!), they are realizing that scientists were right.

- What excites you about this campaign?
- Our top businessmen no longer has the ability to invest what it would take to free ourselves from the oil trade, and if they do have then they do not want to spend it, maybe because they too themselves see what I am talking about coming. If only these businessmen would start the dependence anyways, I live in Florida, which has 3 things not every state has...
1. Solar- We are the sunshine state, do I need to elaborate?
2. More miles of beach than almost any other state which brings me to Ocean current power. There is currently only one generation station from which uses Tidal power but Im not speaking Tidal, I'm saying current (as in longshore current) which can be used to spin generators and provide the second energy source.
And on a side note the type of generators some businesses are placing at the front of estuaries is not a great idea either. They are disrupting the ecosystems contained within the estuary by been placing the generators directly in front of the mouth of the river, making them solely "Tidal generators". I'm talking about natural ocean current which runs along the eastern seaboard and along the bottom of the ocean, I know it runs along the bottom because the oceans current drives our planets climate, this is all common knowledge found in most Earth Science books. The current runs North along the bottom of the ocean (which is where the current generators would be placed) and south along the top of the water due to the natural current of the ocean.
3. Wind- we have the gulf stream, lots of hurricanes (which would most likely provide even more power- or just a small stock pile of what we would be able to capture)
i would love to speak with anyone who is willing to listen to me but not sure how to get any of this started, even if its small cities first and big cities later, America has to start somewhere, because we cant keep paying our gas bill, it's wasting American fortunes and not guaranteeing our future. Renewable energies would give people a reliable future that will not be used up or dissipated within 50- 100 years such as gas and oil. Renewable energies are hear to stay and when people invest in these energies it's investing in our own country, this money goes to our country not the middle east, so I do not see why more people do not already invest in renewable energies. They are throwing there millions away.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I have great ideas' that could possibly solve some states ability to generate their own power, it only takes someone to show them the way, to give them ideas. I am not a greedy person I know that by helping be part of the solution to the bigger problem I will in turn get whatever I deserve, so point is I'm not looking for bonuses or money, just someone who will listen with the power to make a difference.
