Hi Mike. This is awesome! And, you are right, it isn't just natural gas, it is wind, solar, geothermal, undersea currents, biomass, all of it. It all translates into American jobs and American prosperity, versus sending $25 billion each month to Arab…
Hi MIssy.
First off, my best wishes to MS. Solon. I'll save the link and wish her the same myself.
Second, I haven't read Plan B 4.0 but certainly will. I read Plan B 3.0 and it was fantastic, and very inspirational.
Third (now the rant)- I am be…
Yep, our gain, their loss. She's tops in her class and is very interested in engineering.
Hmmm- think our alternative energy industry could use a bright young engineer? Now we just need our economy to be able to pay her!
Best regards,
Bob
I agree completely!
I hold nothing against the Chinese as a people. My wife and I adopted our oldest daughter from China, the adoption day was 10 years ago this coming Monday. We were in China for 10 days and it was a wonderful experience. The Chin…
Right on, Amy! I'm doing this for my kids even more than I am doing it for myself. US companies and products must come first, as long as they present a viable solution.
Best regards,
Bob
Folks, please correct me if you think I'm wrong. I feel that solving the energy issue, either on a personal or national scale, requires a holistic approach. On the personal level, the approach one takes will vary according to their situation.

I agree with James and Robert. In the US we have technology equal to any the Chinese have to offer, in wind and solar equipment. In many cases US products are superior in quality, although slightly to moderately more expensive. What we need are stab…
Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
2 years' experience as Material Control Purchasing Manager for Clipper Windpower, providing spare parts/repair parts for our fleet of 2.5MW Liberty turbines. As such I have considerable knowledge of the components and inner workings of these machines. Also looking into installing a wind turbine on our personal property.
What excites you about this campaign?
Somehow we need to convince Congress that wind power is critical to our energy future. The Europeans get it, why don't we? Maybe because they are paying $10.00 for a gallon of gas, maybe because their governments are more progressive than ours. This administration is a lost cause but fortunately both current candidates are more open to change. High visibility campaigns such as Mr. Pickens' are needed to convince Congress, and the general public, of the urgency of this issue.
What do you want to do to help?
Anything I can- please provide direction!

Hi Bob! I wanted to reply to the message you sent me. I think a great way to motivate people about the Pickens Plan right now is by letting them know that AT&T recently pledged to covert 8,000 of their fleet vehicles to domestic natural gas! This is HUGE, and it demonstrates how the PIckens Plan can work by reducing our dependence on foreign oil and by creating jobs here at home!
I live near Waterloo, IA. I have 7 acres and I'm thinking about putting up a 10kw wind generator. Any sugeestions? Brand, company, any info will be helpful. I realize you work with the much larger systems. There's so much info out there on the web, I'm hoping you can start me down the right path.
Waterloo area Pickens Planners are welcome to attend a town gathering. This unique chance to experience a NEV vehicle will start with a 15-minute video, "Journey to the ZONE". Be prepared to ask questions and get involved in the gathering with both a Columbia MEGA NEV produced in Reedsburg, Wisconsin and a Honda Civic GX CNG produced in East Liberty, Ohio . Bring your PP friends! Feel free to RSVP to chris-hybridguru@centurytel.net or (608) 784-6433.

Bob,
Have you attended the Iowa Energy Fair or the Illinois in Oregon?
Better yet, have you attended the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair in Custer, Wisconsin? The attendance was over 22,000!
Keep up the good work with wind. Our group, HOPE3 (Hybrid Owners Preserving Energy Efficient Economy) visited the McNeilus Wind Farm in Dodge Center, Minnesota for Earth Day. What a great opportunity to get into a 1.65 MW! A 2.5 MW seems awesome.
Thanks for your work,
