- Nothing specific. I have been studying alternative energy for many years. I believe, very strongly, that it is far more a marketing issue than a technical issue - we have to make alternative energy cool. Then people will use the cool energy source a little, and create markets for suppliers who will use this demand to lower costs and improve their products. That will in affect enable an increase in demand.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- My partner and I are in the process of launching www.Glacialartifacts.com.
We are selling Nature's Reminder Jewelry that we are making from rocks collected from active glaciers in Alaska. These are real life reminders that the climate is changing and that each of us needs to take personal responsibility to do something to make things better. We are donating 10% of our profits to various organizations who are committed to action. We would like to add yours to our list.

It's exciting isn't it.... that feeling, that this can really happen!
While you are figuring it all out, enjoy..... and please print off a petition that you can keep in your back pocket. I run inot all kinds of folks during Christmas shopping, work and errands. I have gathered 150+ in the last 5 days with no particular extra effort, other than sharing with the people I run into daily.

NO INFLUENCE WITHOUT NUMBERS
I have been able to gather hundreds with a simple sentence -
"I am collecting signatures of support for T. Boone PIckens plan to get us off of foreign oil and onto American solutions" then put the petition in front of them. EVERYONE wants to get off foreign oil, we just need to add them to our list!

Please bring 5 folks to join the site today, so that we can build a big enough voice that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interest, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to think that we could be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not to get this done when we had the chance.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan. Print downloadable flyers and put them in your car and/or business window.
A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, scientists, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
