Happy New Year Bonnie,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Bonnie, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Yo! Peoples!
Sorry for the long absence but lightening and computers are not a good mix. Had a strike just up the driveway but it got to my computer, satellite receiver, son's t.v., the cordless phone. But, the Lord is good and has confounded even my tech friend. She thought the mother board was fried...the modem most definitely was. All those pretty blue things on the modem board just fell off when I took it out. lol I brought the tower home to fuss with Dell about replacing it when I figured it might be a good idea to plug the thing in just to prove to the technician I was waiting to answer the phone that it didn't work. Ummm...it worked. I hung up from the nice elevator music at Dell and called my tech who could not explain why it was working. Praise The Lord!!!!! And it didn't cost me anything! My God is so good to me.

Here's my itinerary: catch up on college work.....catch up on all of y'alls discussions...then I'll be jumping in with you all!

I thank all of you who put in Friend Requests and I'll be checking in to your pages to familiarize myself with you personally when time allows. I take this Friend thing serious and I want to know you all.

Ummm...I do have one question: What the heck is this Featured Member thing and how in the world did I get to be one? :-s I didn't do nothin'. lol Explanations would be greatly appreciated.

See y'all around...let the Lord keep blessin' y'all's socks off!

Hi Bonnie,

Great photos! Good lookin family and beautiful country. What more could you ask for?

Bonnie, I know that I read somewhere that you are a rather good drawer/illustrator. That being noted, I want to remind you about the Artists Round-Up Group that isn't a group but more a roster (at least at this point in time). Please come and sign in and then tell us all about your drawings.

I'm happy that you accepted my friend request.

Why not geothermal?

I believe to tap geothermal heat for the
production of energy one must have knowledge of the earths tectonic plates in relationship to other physical properties that influence the thermodynamic process

Gravity? (perhaps) Radiation? (plausible) Solar? (why not all 3)

I believe the all interact. Lets unravel this not!

Hi Bonnie,
I want to invite you to check out the Artists Round-Up group.

Because I knew of no other way to do this on this site I decided to create the project in the form of a group. Although, at least in it's beginning stages, the group is really more of a roster for artists to sign in and make themselves know to each other and to all those who are involved in the Pickens Plan than it is an actual group. It is possible though, and not unexpected, that it perhaps will sooner or later evolve into being a genuine group and doing and having as a genuine group.

For now though, I both invite and encourage you to at least go and check the group out. Once you see the set up you'll know whether it's for you or not. And if the purpose of the Artists Round-Up group does not indicate to you maybe there are others you know who might be interested. In such a cirucumstance I would, of course, appreciate your telling them about the group.

Thanks.

I have found that most people out there don't consider facts when it comes to both our energy future and global warming. My biggest fear is where all this chanting of "drill baby drill" will lead. So many people think that once we open the Alaska and off-shore oil POTENTIAL we will be free and clear and there will no need for alternatives. This can then lead to our return to complacency and we will be back to where we are now. Although there are many FACTS I would like to share, the biggest fact that needs to be shared with those who don't have the facts is that Alaska (one or our lagrest oil POTENTIALS) is really an equivalent of about 1 to 1.5 years of oil. We use 20,000,000 barrels a day and the mean estimated quantity of recoverable is about 8 billion barrels. This comes to 400 days of oil. Some will say we have ten years of oil up there and yes that is true because it will take 10 yeas to physically pump it out of the ground. To compound this situation it will take 7 to 10 years before any drop of that oil is available. We don' t just go there tomorrow, drill next week and in a month we have oil. Please spread the facts!
