- Solar and wind power for sail boats. Solar water heating. Strong following of solar and wind power options for boats and homes.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- This is what I hoped to do on my own property. In the past year I purchased a 21 acre pine farm in Alabama. Aside from using it for a retirement residence, I hope to install one or more wind generators, solar water heating, and enough solar panels to provide all of the power needed for my daughter's home and my home. I also hoped to be able to resell energy to the local power cooperative if they agree to buy it.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Aside from my own personal plans, I do not know. I would like to learn what is needed and then try to match my own skills and talents to those needs as a part-time volunteer.
I have worked as a political organizer in the past -- organizing volunteers and doing door-to-door canvasing. However, now I am very apolitical (I got burned out), so unless this can remain independent of politics I would not want to work too much in that type of capacity.
I am an IT professional currently working as the IT Manager for a county-wide library cooperative, if anything like that is needed.
I am also good at teaching and training people, and I have quite a bit of experience doing that, along with public speaking experience.
I hope to retire from my current job in about two years too, at which time I may be able to either work full time at this type of thing, or at least spend additional time as a volunteer.
So, what needs to be done?

General John Osborn here. I am your District FL-11 Leader for Pickens Plan. We need YOU more than ever. Our organization has evolved and your role has become very clear. Under my leadership you can have a tangible role in the operation of the district. You will be meeting “Mark Sharpe” of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners at the September meeting. I assure you this will be interesting and informative.

Join renewable energy businesses, experts, and advocates, including manufacturers and representatives from the world’s largest renewable energy industry companies. Replicating the success of Gainesville, Florida and introducing a Renewable Energy Dividend policy will bring widespread economic recovery and job creation to Florida, while establishing energy security and environmental stewardship.
