Petitions & Getting Our Officials Involved

I will be looking into what officials (on all local and government levels) we need to be talking to. Through our communications with them we can find out what we are going to get the people of cookeville and surrouinding areas to petition for. we apperently have nothing organized here, and although i do work a lot i am willing to try my best to get us on track and make this happen.

Involving Local Economy

My first thought of a way that this can help our economy in Middle Tennessee is factory work. We can get involved in the production of new wind mills, economical cars, conversion kits, etc. We need to keep an eye out for all the new projects, get our officials involved, and get new age factories going where our old age factories are dieing.

Hi Brandon,

We're in Sagle. I just joined this site a week or two ago, so not much experience with it yet. Can't get a feel yet for how organized our area is.

Dear Brandon Allen Crozier: My foray into social networking sites is not likely to pick up much speed cue to the press of work and family. However, if everyone reads and reacts properly to the information available, then we can move our society toward more sanity in the use and allocation of natural resources. Pragmatism will dictate the pace. We will all be using existing transportation and energy equipment to meet ongoing needs until it becomes possible to do other things. I personally would love to use a bicycle to commute to work, but I am too far away and there are too many hills in the way. I may get an electric car when they are available at prices that normal folks can pay. I don't expect to see the complete societal change, but I am excited about what can be done in my remaining lifetime. It is great to be on the edge of a really fundamental change in the world. I look forward to meet you some day.

We have only lived here for a year so I am not sure what has been organized. Let me know if you learn anything as I may be interested in helping.
