Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I would love to have affordable alternative energy options for our home. I think there should be an incentive for the purchase of solar panels, or possibly low cost financing. I think more people would use solar and wind energy if they could afford it. Of course, more fuel efficient vehicles and alternative fuel vehicles are needed too. It seems crazy that parts of the US are still using coal for energy.
What excites you about this campaign?
It feels like a real plan that can actually get something done. If we can all put our voices together, hopefully someone will hear and do what the people really want instead of listening to big business.
What do you want to do to help?
for now, I'm not sure what i can do.

There are many discussion groups on the Pickens Plan website covering a wide range of topics related to Alternative Energy and the Environment. I am the District Leader for the Spokane area (WA-05 group). We could use some active discussions and new ideas in our group. I am trying to promote Alternative Energy and job training programs to the Spokane County Commissioners and City of Spokane, to make sure that we have trained workers for the "Green Economy". We need programs covering everything from building windmills, to improving energy efficiency of public buildings, or converting diesels to run on liquid natural gas.

Come join us at: http://push.pickensplan.com/group/districtgroupwa05

Sincerely,

Robert Schultz

Hi Brenda,

We've grown in size and we'’d like to have you as a member, just search for WA-05 in the Pickens Plan Home Page right side, “Find Your Group”. On this page you’ll be instructed to type in your zip code and our page should appear. The Washington 5th Dist, is in the top 20 rated Pickens Plan Army groups in the nation! We meet every other week and attendance isn’t mandatory.

I'm sorry for the delay in getting around to welcoming you personally. The Pickens Plan has gone through reorganization as a result of smaller groups dying. The result is the most prosperous groups remain and members are urged to re-organize into their congressional district groups. The most popular groups still remain.

For members living near an Idaho border town, feel free to go to meetings there until you can get enough Washington members, later you’ll be having co-meetings and BBQ’s.

Thank You,
Richard Wickberg, Spokane WA

Hello Brenda,
Because most of the city groups were dying of apathy, the higher ups in the Pickens Plan have revamped the entire nation by congressional groups. So.

Welcome from the 5th Congressional District Pickens Plan Group. I’m leader of the WA 5th district group, which the Pickens Plan Army just started. We’d like to have you as a member, just search for WA-05 in the above tool bar under GROUPS. Feel free to add me as a friend.
Thank you,
Richard Wickberg, Spokane WA
