Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I am the president of Bedlam Innovations Group, LLC and have been working with several groups to help them launch their tecnologies. Currently I am working with GC Renewable Resource Technologies, LLC (www.renewableresourcetechnologies.com) on a patented technology that converts waste materials into an extremely high BTU ( 11-12,000 btu per pound), carbon neutral and clean burning bioenergy which can be used for KW electrical generation and used in a gasification system to create a very high grade of ethanol.
What excites you about this campaign?
First because T. Boone is a fellow Cowboy... Go Pokes! Secondly, it's a movement not bound by governmental bureaucracies and most importantly it is virtual in its communication form. And It has the potential to grow exponentially with little effort, so it's not bound by borders, whether they are between states or countries. And finally it's a movement that will excite and motivate the youth of all nations...... Now let's all get out of the way and let it expand.... organically!
What do you want to do to help?
I have excellent contacts at all levels of government, local, state and federal and have great communication skills, project management experience (10 + years) in the hi-tech industry in Southern California. I am highly motivated and a "Can Do" personality type. Finally, I have friends in executive positions throughout the Film & TV industries.

For all Cowboys for Pickens Plan members, please support Dr. Ray Huhnke and his biofuels team's research at OSU. Their technology is being commercialized by Coskata, (www.coskata.com) which is nearing the launch of it's first pilot plant in PA sometime in May. Also check out another cutting edge company in northeast OK called GC Renewable Resource Technologies, (www.renewableresourcetechnologies.com)… Continue

Greetings Brian,
Our cost effective, new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits are shipping now. They are sleek, attractive, and well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, like dishwasher, home theatre, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin your Personal Energy Plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in winter, Your Sun shines stronger in summer. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs from day one and Brian, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Check these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

Brian - Have you read this article on giant leap for SOLAR energy out of M.I.T.?
“…Until now, (8-5-08) solar power has been a daytime-only energy source, because storing extra solar energy for later use is prohibitively expensive and grossly inefficient. With today's announcement, MIT researchers have hit upon a simple, inexpensive, highly efficient process for storing solar energy…”

Take a look -

Brian – You’ve just arrived – and already? You & Marilynn have been talking about me...? Seemed pretty unlikely to me - Yes, I've been working at putting together a documentary "vignette" – [Would love to see a true documentary done of this phenomenon.]

So - you've friends in high places - moguls – tycoons – entrepreneurs & a documentary film maker! Yes! Ok, take a look at this simple idea - Actors, Directors & Production Artists for TBP PLAN (click here) Look @ Discussion: Storyboard & Copy.

[I can't seem to solve the "how do participants upload video snippets onto a designated “place” on this site - then I download from “place” & edit - re-upload – making it available for personal attachment recruitment usage.”]

Any thoughts - are appreciated & I'll request you as a friend.

Hi Brian.....thank you for joining! Where do we start? For a wealth of information, we can look to Europe as our model for developing sustainable renewable energy. Countries like Denmark and Germany lead the way in this effort and have been there for the past 10-20 years - even more. Germany’s commitment through cooperatives and local municipalities has installed 19,000+ wind turbines and millions of solar collectors, both for solar hot water and electricity.

The onshore and offshore installation of wind turbines in Denmark is producing 20% of all their electrical needs. (Please see examples in the photos on my page).

I mention these examples to give us a direction for inspiration and point to where we could be heading with the Pickens Plan. The technology is already there and we do not have to reinvent the wheel. These are a few of the websites I would suggest you visit to see what other have done and are doing:

1) 1) The Solar Village – Freiburg, Germany. See: http://www.thesolarvillage.com/
2) The Folkecenter for Renewable Energy – Denmark.
See: http://www.folkecenter.net/gb/overview/publications/
Under VARIOUS, read: The transition from Fossil Fuels to the Renewable Energies
The whole website is excellent and you could spend hours there.
3) Google: Samso, Denmark. This is an island off the coast of Denmark that is completely self-sustaining. http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/07/07/080707fa_fact_kolbert
4) Read the article written by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. titled: “Global Warming: A Real Solution”

Here are a few great videos to see: “Saved by the Sun” a PBS NOVA video, and “A Crude Awakening” by Basil Gemlpke, et al. Americans need to mobilize and pressure our government representatives both on the state and national level. The Pickens Plan is a good place to foster discussion and share ideas and PUSH this plan! We can all share in this vital common cause. Good luck in your quest for a better more secure America….. Lee
