I wonder what the percentage of US consumption of fuel/oil use is for the military vs. the private sector? Does anyone know?

It is a sure bet that as supplies diminish, priorities will be assigned to users. Personal vehicles will be dead last. Wanna bet where the F16s will be.

Thanks to add me like a friend. I was born in cuba, but I live in Colombia, I'm Mechanical Engeneer specialized in Thermoenergetic, I think the future and aleternative energy is a problem to change minds all over the world not only in USA, this is something to everybody in the planet.

It is a great partial answer. An F16 powered by batteries or natural gas seems unlikely.
