Bibi Pickens Plan!

Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
None...but I have an idea and this plan fits perfect with what I would like to accomplish.
What excites you about this campaign?
Everything. I think it really required someone from the oil business to give this plan a voice. Someone who is not afraid to move past the profits of oil and see the bigger picture. I think there is just as much economy in wind & solar, as oil, but on a different level.
What do you want to do to help?
I would like to solar & wind power all high rise communities, starting with my own hometown of Miami Beach, FL, which has an abundance of wind & sun. I would like for our city to be the first energy independent city in America! I was at a lose of where to start such endeavor, having no experience in this field, but with an idea that I know can & will work. So I put my thoughts out to the universe, and the Pickens Plan arrived.

Morning Brigitte

Will you pass this on to your friends AND participate, please.

Today is the day! for all who believe in their hearts that we can do this, to get 10 signed pledges! Will you print off 10 pledges, get them signed and fax them back? The clock is ticking and it is time for us to ramp it up. Tap into that moment when you first saw this and thought, "WOW, this could really happen", go out of your comfort zone a bit and get it done. We only have 80 days until inauguration day- to create our own destiny. We have incredible momentum - WILL YOU PLEASE GET 10 TODAY?!

Thank you and Best,
Kim

John, We are trying to get EPA to allow all vehicles convert to CNG. See Below CNGEnergy.net has 3 large refueling systems on order. We hope to have them up in 90 days.
How EPA can help Bring the USA closer to Energy Independence.

Notice to Americans: Please send this proposal to your government officials and ask them to help with your state. This is what we are proposing for the state of Utah.
Letter:
In order for America to reduce its dependency on foreign oil, EPA must make some changes. We are not asking EPA to compromise its standards for a clean environment.
There are only 5 engine families approved by EPA for a CNG conversion. The time, cost, and limited number of approved testing labs have created a bottleneck and make it impossible for the average American to convert their vehicle to CNG. 99.9% of vehicles on the road today can not qualify for a conversion.
We have over a 60 year supply of natural gas in America. We are being blocked from using it.

We are asking EPA to allow the state of Utah to put into action a demonstration program as follows under a bi-fuel fail-safe program.

Fail Safe Program includes safety inspection

Bi-fuel vehicles

Problem:
1. CNG conversions of EPA approved kits are too expensive for most Americans.
2. There are only 5 current family engines with EPA approval. This means a specific model year and engine.
3. The approved kits expire in 1 year. Many will not be renewed as history demonstrates from past approvals. This keeps a very limited supply in the market.
4. EPA process is costly and time consuming
5. A large number of non EPA approved and unsafe CNG kits are on our highways.
6. Current process does not encourage kit approvals of engines older than 1 or 2 yrs
7. Most vehicles in the America cannot convert to CNG.
8. EPA is receiving a lot of public pressure to relax current policy without a real solution.
9. The current policy that is in place is not conducive for the average American family vehicle.
10. EPA does not have the resources to handle the volume of conversions necessary to help the USA reduce its dependency on foreign oil by switching to CNG.
11. Cities need cleaner emissions.
12. There are many CNG kits being installed that are not EPA approved and many are being installed in an unsafe manner.

Solution: Put the CNG approval at the State level.
EPA allows the State of Utah to establish a demonstration program to do the following:
1. EPA to monitor the state emission centers for accuracy and properly calibrated equipment. (needed across the USA)
2. State of Utah to have safety inspections on all installed CNG Kits as part of the normal vehicle inspections. Require unsafe and improperly installed kits to go to a state approved install center for repairs or be removed from the vehicle
3. State of Utah to have the following emissions test for CNG Conversions
A. Standard tail pipe test
B. OBD ll Test (to see that all 5 test points are functioning similar to what is done at EPA labs for kit approval. Note: the test of time is not need due to the following reasons:
1. If CNG system malfunctions the vehicle is programmed to revert back to Auto gas. This is similar to what is done in Europe.

2. All engine starts are with Auto gas then switches to CNG same as currently done in Europe for a clean start.
Emission Center will test the OBD ll
This is to test the OBD ll CNG System. to see that 5 test points that are currently been tested at EPA Labs are functioning properly. If one sensor fails then the vehicle does not pass. The vehicle returns to its install center to find the solution and fix it. The OBD ll will focus on monitoring the: Catalyst, misfire, oxygen sensor, evap (if present) EGR ( if preesnt), comprehensive components, and fuel controller .
When the vehicle passes the test then it proves the CNG System for that vehicle was installed properly and is functioning properly, at state emission sticker for CNG is then issued. .
3. .
Fail Safe: If during operation of the vehicle after receiving and emission sticker the vehicle has a failure in any of its OBD ll sensors the vehicle software will automatically switch the vehicle back to regular auto fuel…

The inspection also includes a safety check for proper tank fittings and connections.
State CNG Emission Inspection stations shall receive proper Cylinder Inspection training and OBD ll test training which is now available in the state of Utah.

Installation of CNG kits shall be done be state approved centers. These centers must show that they have had proper CNG training and Cylinder Inspection training.

A letter from the install center showing that they have had proper training shall be given to the State CNG Emission Station to show proper and safe installation.

Benefits of the Program:

1. Reduces dependency on foreign oil.
2. Spends dollars in America for energy
3. Allows all Americans to switch most of their vehicles to CNG
4. Makes the conversion affordable for Americans
5. Take the burden of complaints and burdens off EPA
6. CNG is the bridge we need to take us to future energy technology such as Hydrogen or electric. America has over a 60 year supply of natural gas.
7. Test has a fail safe program to insure safe and clean operation

This program will take the burden off EPA for approval of all CNG Conversion Kits and shift it to the states. EPA will still be in control by monitoring the state emission centers.

The savings for the consumer is considerable. This encourages Americans to spend money on energy from America and not foreign oil.
Please Help Us Use our Natural Gas Resources and clean up the environment.

Good. Start with recycling high-tech parts. Use heat, cooling and radial kenetic energy (cannot say the actual word, knowledge terrorism) to separate materials. Freeze all exhausts. This group may help with all the technical info you need.

They may seem unapproachable, but the moment you ask the right question. they will overwhelm you with help. reword your questions to 'this is what we are thinking in our town to set up'. is this correct? is this going to work? They wont respond to action, money, criminal feelings. and any one of them is more intelligent then all the people in your town combined. They are fragile and rarely talk to people. They are rarely understood by people.

good luck and keep me informed.

Hello!

You must be busy. So, I won't take much of your time.

We live in the freest country in the world. And yet, there is information not being broadcast to the American public about all the 2008 presidential candidates. Where is the information about Bob Barr and Ralph Nader? They are running for president too. Not everyone will agree on their policies or plans of action for our country, but we find that the other candidates that are so profoundly broadcast and their running mates also have their share of discrepancies with the American voters. It is our duty to be informed to the best of our ability as voters. Doing research on all of the candidates is time consuming and made difficult when they are not part of the public “Dog and Pony Shows” also know as debates. Are we being denied information; or are these not so known candidates being denied their right to speech in the freest of countries? The policy to include only the best fundraising candidates makes me question their integrity. I do not want a superstar with some subliminal message of change and freedom to lead my country. I want to see a president that is not afraid to debate with all parties for election. Was it The League of Women Voters that called your corporatized debates devoid of substance, spontaneity, and honest answers to tough questions?

So please drop your exclusionary restrictions, and let all of the 2008 presidential candidates into the debates. It will be good for your conscience, good for the American people, and good for democracy. Let the American people have a real debate for once.

"Curb Picking" or Recycling for extra money by Walt Barrett
Back in the nineteen forties I got my first bicycle when a bunch of my young teen age friends, whom were just as poor as I was, introduced me to the city dump in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. We managed to find enough trashed bikes to make one good one. That was an eye opening experience for me. When I was a struggling young Airman in the USAF stationed in California during the Korean War, oh sorry, police action, I quickly learned that the base land fill was a veritable gold mine.
My wife and I were a very young married couple with no money. So I went back to the landfill and got bureaus, a book case and several other pieces of otherwise very expensive furniture. We always managed to put money in the bank when others around us were broke.
Now there is a new twist to this whole subject. I was reminded of all this the other day while driving through a fairly upscale neighborhood. It was trash day and I was marveling at some of the items that people had just set out on the curb for pickup. Then I spotted two ladies in their late thirties or so with a Van pulling a trailer that had been made by stripping down an old pop up tent camper. They were busily going from pile to pile in front of each home, picking off the best items, and popping them into the rapidly filling up trailer and van. At that moment I was instantly transported back sixty years to my first profitable experience at "Dump Picking" as we used to call it in those days. It also reminded me that it was not without its hazards either, as I still have the scars on my ankles where I sunk into a pit of hot ashes from coal that was still burning underground. That is a permanent memory I can assure you! I later found out that some other unfortunate kid had died that way several years before.
Well, back to the ladies who were "Curb Picking." They were neat and clean looking and dressed very nicely, and very dignified looking. considering their line of work. Their van didn't look too shabby either. I have seen a lot of this "Curb Picking" in recent years and have found that many of these items are sold at flea markets, and on sites like EBay for a tidy profit.
One more example is a guy I know who just pick up broken lawn mowers on trash day. Many of them just have a faulty wire on the kill switch and he fixes that problem and sells them for $25.00 each. Others need different parts like wheels and carburetors etc. , so he cannibalizes them from more severely damaged mowers. So even his replacement parts are free. By the way, there's nothing wrong with buying a used, repaired mower or garden tractor. You can save a lot of money, and cut down on the space taken up in the landfill.
Well "Curb Picking" is a way to start your own business with absolutely no money, and whats wrong with that? I still get tempted myself on days when I decide to drive my pickup truck!
Thanks,
Walt Barrett
