Greetings Brittany…..Thank you for joining! I have just returned from a 3 week trip to Denmark and Germany and continue to be amazed by the efforts of these countries with the addition of Spain to initiate huge programs in alternative energy solutions for their countries. Germany and Denmark are at the 20+ % of electricity being generated by wind. Spain is above 40% of its electricity being produced by wind. There is much written on the Internet about these efforts and incentives to homeowners, farmers and business people as well. We have been kept in the dark for so long about what others are doing to solve their energy needs, cut their carbon footprint and reduce global warming. America is only 5% of the world’s population but we use 25% of the world’s oil. There is something fundamentally wrong with that equation! We need to change our mindset and the mindset of our legislators to choose the right path for the future of America and our dependency on foreign oil. Check out the photos from Germany, Denmark and Spain on my Pickens Plan Page. Your help is greatly appreciated and needed……Again, thanks…..>> Lee Ewald
P.S. Google Samso, Denmark and Freiburg, Germany (The Solar Village) to see 2 great examples of what is being done in Europe.

Where are ALL the candidates for the 2008 Presidential Election?
We live in the freest country in the world. And yet, there is information not being broadcast to the American public about all the 2008 presidential candidates. Where is the information about Bob Barr and Ralph Nader? They are running for president too. Not everyone will agree on their policies or plans of action for our country, but we find that the other candidates that are so profoundly broadcast and their running mates also have their share of discrepancies with the American voters. It is our duty to be informed to the best of our ability as voters. Doing research on all of the candidates is time consuming and made difficult when they are not part of the public “Dog and Pony Shows” also know as debates. Are we being denied information; or are these not so known candidates being denied their right to speech in the freest of countries? The policy to include only the best fundraising candidates makes me question their integrity. I do not want a superstar with some subliminal message of change and freedom to lead my country. I want to see a president that is not afraid to debate with all parties for election. Was it The League of Women Voters that called your corporatized debates devoid of substance, spontaneity, and honest answers to tough questions?
So please drop your exclusionary restrictions, and let all of the 2008 presidential candidates into the debates. It will be good for your conscience, good for the American people, and good for democracy. Let the American people have a real debate for once.

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan.
YOU CAN HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.

PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this. There is a red button on main page with a draft for your Congressman, just push the button.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your city or state, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and help with the pledge petition drive.

Thanks again for joining us
