Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize

Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I spent a summer doing door to door fundraising for USPIRG on various environmental and energy causes. I provide support to Dept. of Defense alternative energy research projects at my job, as well as next generation battery programs.

What excites you about this campaign?

I think energy independence is the most important long term national security and economic issue in the world. Mr. Pickens has a plan; I think it is sound and without peer. Personally, I would sacrifice a lot to see America independent again.

What do you want to do to help?

I am willing to volunteer my time and energy during the first 100 days of the next administration. I am not sure if I am best suited to any kind of leadership role, but if someone give me an idea of what to do, or a where and when, I am happy to show up, lend my support, make phone calls, etc.

Welcome to the team! Thank you for your offer of meaningful . Even before we get to the first 100 days, we ned to really buid this army. PLEDGES are the way to do it. Can you get some signed this week? It is an easy ask - Boone has done the hard work already. I have been able to get 300 faxed in. EVERYONE is in favor of the getting off of foerign oil. NOW, more than ever, people are finally getting it - we need to keep that money here, for American solutions, American jobs and American money.

He has been investigating engineering and petroleum engineering seemed to get his attention, however, it is not a long-term solution. He is applying to the US Coast Guard Academy as well as NC State U., Marrietta in Ohio, and U of Fairbanks. He's ranked 8th in HS 3A division swimming in NC, and he's on a rowing team. Hopefully, this will help him get into a great school, so that he can move forward and be of service doing something that matters.

You can get started by going to the MAIN page. Once there, choose THE PLEDGE. Also peruse the page, there several good tools there. Choose the RED BOX titled “CONTACT CONGRESS”. With little effort, we can send letters to our Senators, Representatives and Governors. Fill in the form & you’re done! This is urgent; the Energy Bill before Congress is in danger of not passing! It will eliminate renewable tax credits, a crucial element for sector expansion.

There is a tremendous amount of information here. Many groups; choose by genre/state or create your own. Post comments. Participate in discussions. Ask questions. All opinions/information are welcome. Check out EVENTS there may be an activity in your area, or set one up yourself. Most importantly, share PickensPlan.com with others.
