Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
In my community I and the Financial firm I'm with is very much involved in making a difference and making people think out of the box. We have developed a program called the "Next Michigan". Where business owners come together as a think tank on keeping our economy going. We are also very interested in Wind power. Some of us have personally invested in BWEN because it seems to show the most promise of having their company together. I am also very much into alternative energy including a canadian company Methes, Inc. producing Bio Diesel and bringing plants to Michigan. They seem to be about 2 years out for Algae reproducing quickly and on mass levels.
So I would say I am proud to be doing my part in making a difference but will try and learn how to take it further.
What excites you about this campaign?
What excites me about this campaign is that Pickens has put his cash up because that is how strong he feels. I have been watching him and I am very impressed. We share the same goals so far so lets move forward....
What do you want to do to help?
I will continue to work locally but if there is something more I could be doing to make a difference in Alternative energy Iam all for it. I want the reliance on foreign resources stopped or at least crippled.

Flint Economic Conference

Wow, I was at the U of M in Flint listening to three great economists that didn't have enough good to say about where we are heading for a while as a nation. Literally! Although it is sometimes hard to hear it is important that we as citizens are listening to many sides of the table so we can make wise decisions. Especially before we listen to the media because they will make you hide under a rock just to make a sale. The good news is Energy is where it is at and I am excited about that for my f… Continue

Michigan - We are going to fight these leaders and make them listen to the people.

We are only a month away from potentially bringing a great Bio - Diesel plant to Flint. Methes Energy is very close to going public. I want to work at getting our so called leaders down the straight narrow.

Hey C, just a note on JoAnn Musser's posting dissing the citizen-based MI FairTax initiative: Her sources point to organizations whose reason for being relies on their ability to lobby the legislature. League for Human Svcs and the Michigan Chamber have a vested interest to see to it that we keep a tax code from which they can barter tax favors on behalf of clients. JoAnn immediately disliked this proposal without even taking a reasonable time to check it out. She immediately went to work to look for negative sources to support her own biases. You can read my interaction with her at my page.

Hello CMontie,

I'm District Leader of WA-05, presently the 17th ranked group in the nation. You know who keeps my recruiting of new members down? Windenergy7, with his advertising spam to new members!

You see we don't sell anything here!

I'm glad you're interested in his product, He's ruining the Pickens Plan.

Regards,
Richard Wickberg

Hi C, I'm leaving you this message to make you aware of the OTHER SIDE of the Michigan FairTax Proposal that Daar Fisher is attempting to introduce you to in the below message. There are MAJOR problems associated with this tax proposal that people need to consider. Please click on the above links to review the information. This tax would greatly burden the middle class.

Hi C, I'm the state Internal Communication Director for the Michigan FairTax Assn which works "hand in glove" with goals of the Pickens Plan because by REPLACING the Michigan income tax, families and businesses will have additional disposable monthly income to make energy utilization improvements to their homes, businesses, and transportation.

For The Facts- End income tax returns, audits, interest, penalties and 1/2 the lobbyists in LansingHow will passage of a MI FairTax do this? It will REPLACE the income tax and current sales tax, with a consumption tax (sales tax at point of retail sale). This means that no more state tax will be withheld from Michigan wage-earners' paychecks. What's more, every Michigan resident-family will receive a monthly "prebate" check, in amount based on family size. This will ensure that NO Michigan family will EVEN BEGIN paying the MI FairTax on goods / services unless, or until, they exceed poverty-level spending.

Under the FairTax plan, points of collection are reduced to retailers many of whom are already collecting sales tax. Because service providers must account for income tax withholding and compliance costs, their prices carry a hidden tax which will become visible under the MI FairTax. (The MI FairTax EXCLUDES business-to-business purchases as this would, again, hide the cost of taxation in prices.)

Because of the prebate to ALL Michigan-resident households, the MI FairTax rate would effectively be 0% on all monthly family spending to the poverty level; thereafter it's 9.75%. The average effective rate will be around 5.5% (see p.2 of pdf brochure).

Please, join our email list to learn how you can help advance the Michigan FairTax and facilitate Pickens Plan goals!

Merry Christmas CMontie,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me CMontie, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Michigan: I just posted an article on my page about Home Wind Systems in Michigan. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

CMontie,
Thanks for the note. I am not active but I do support energy independence and being "Green". The Pickens Plan is just one means. Unfortunately the Fenton area is not very "Green", at least as far as I can tell. No bike paths, no renewale energy plans, very little recycling, etc. But glad to hear there is another voice.

Thanks for all your help! Glad to see you working with MI-08!

Welcome, pleasure to meet you.

Can you help with a small task today?

Would you please print off a petition, get it signed and fax it back? We all know 8 people (there are just 8 names per sheet) who want us to get off of foreign oil. We need to build our numbers. It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. Will you do this small thing to help? It will help your district, too.

Here is the petition:

Thanks for Joinng Up CMontie, WELCOME ABOARD!

(1) Please Go to THE PLEDGE (very top of this page) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done! Thanks.
(2) In addition to political support and action, I encourage you to consider a Personal Energy Plan in which you take control of your electricity by using home energy systems. That's what I do for a living, help people with their own home systems. I will be glad to help you and answer any questions. Below is some info and links that will give you an idea of where to start.

Hi CMontie,
We have new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits are shipping now. They are sleek, attractive, and well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, dishwasher, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin a personal energy plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in the winter, Your Sun shines stronger in the summer months. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs and CMontie, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Michigan. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.
