Who killed the electric car?
This video was pointed out to me by a friend. Until I saw it a several weeks ago, I didn't even know that the car had been in production much less on the road. It is mind boggling to know we had this technology in the 90s and it was killed by people in power. Now we are paying $4 a gallon for gas, and our gov is screaming for us to let them drill in the Arctic preserve and offshore. How stupid is that???? They will destroy as long as they can make a buck, no matter what the cost.

It ran on electricity, produced no emissions and catapulted American technology to the forefront of the automotive industry. The lucky few who drove it never wanted to give it up. Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state; you can find them to the right, in the Featured Members section. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY …to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinator, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership
2) influence public policy.
3) If you know someone who is in the press, or someone who blogs, get them to cover this and ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

Yesterday was interesting. All that noise is rather rare in this group... chalk it up to convention fever. I hope that since you value Solar Power as a future resource you'd not simply quit the group because of an atypical mess.
I'm probably one of the most acerbic personalities in the group. I'm quick to criticize 'bad science' and scandalous sales practices, but politics is... well, it creeps in. The posters yesterday were expressing deeply felt opinions. Right or wrong it's still their right.
Believe it or not I read each & every post. Please don't ask me to recall a single argument or point made. They were vacuous at best.
