I can relate about the time issue. i want to make a over-night trip down the Clear fork river & a few others around here. A great place for cheap but good solar is Harbor Freight believe it or not. They sell 45 Watt set ups for on sale prices of $178 quite often.

where do you kayak at? I'm at Mansfield, we have Clear Fork Lake & Charles Mill Lake. both awesome places, with Bald Eagles! I'm on year 2 with my kayak. more and more people are buying them all the time I've noticed allready. I'll get some photos posted soon.
Hi Dave,
Thanks for your post. You are on the right track and what you want to do, can be done. We are currently placing a Windspire on top of the EPA building in downtown Sacramento. One of the taller buildings in Sacramento. The lower ten foot base does not have to be in place on top of a building, so total height will only be 20'. You may be interested in knowing we are opening a plant in Youngstown, Ohio, where molding and casting will be done. This will help in mass producing the Windspire. Let me know if you want more information. There are more pictures on my page also. Thanks again. Aloha, Bill Mollring
Thanks for welcoming me aboard, it's good to be here!
It sure would be nice if the golf carts were given some sort of waiver. So many people just driving a few miles from there homes and not needing access to the highway. I have been using battery operated trimmers and hedgers for several years, mainly because I did not like the noise or smell generated by the gas operated units. I understand that golf carts and similar sized vehicles can operate on battery / propane and natural gas and believe that the battery bank is the best option as long as use is limited and there is an alternate source of electricity that excludes utility power.
I am very interested in generating electricity inexpensively especially with wind power . The main constraints that inhibit me are the location of my home and business. The home being in a residential neighborhood and the business being located in downtown Toledo. I have installed a weather station to record the wind averages in an attempt to gauge the winds effectiveness.
The other factor seems to be the cost associated with all the equipment needed to generate and store the electric power for use. We some how need to get these expenses down.
